Don't understand all the negative reviews! This place is great, clean, friendly staff. Quiet, peaceful, nicely groomed grounds, 2 swimming pools, terrace, although breakfast is limited, Colonial Resort is worth the money. Would stay again!!!!!

What is it with the bad reviews for this hotel?? My wife and I stayed for 2 days and it is a beautiful hotel in a stunning location. The room was spotlessly clean and really quiet. The receptionist was helpful as the swing bridge was closed so she was kind enough to give directions to the waterfront. The food was good with a fish and fries special at 13CAD. Breakfast was included and was table service rather than the normal “on the go” pastries ect. The service staff were lovely and couldn’t do enough. We asked for a late check out and there was no problems. The only issue is the lack of elevators but the hotel staff offered to help with our bags. I nearly swapped my booking due the previous reviews but they are not a representation of my experience.

Our recent overnight stay at Pangea House could not have been any better! Jody and Geoff have done a fabulous job of mixing the old with the new in this beautiful home! The home has many antiques and beautiful old items but nothing was lacking in terms of comfort for guests. It had a light and airy feeling. The bed was very comfortable and the breakfast was outstanding including a wonderful gluten-free breakfast for me which was no problem for Geoff! The home is in a great location near the river, very close to the downtown area, and Jody and Geoff could not have been any more welcoming and helpful. We highly recommend the Pangea House and hope to be able to stay there again!

La casa Bullock è situata a pochi passi dal centro di Gananoque. Ci siamo trasferiti nella stanza Gananoque. È una casa più vecchia e non è stata ben mantenuta. Solo perché una stanza è piena di ”antichi” non significa che la stanza debba essere usata. La colazione era ok, ma niente di grande. La farina di ovino blu cotta in olio di cacao era troppo dolce e mancava la semplicità terrena di buona farina di ovino. Il toast francese era anche troppo dolce.Abbiamo avuto una divertente conversazione con gli altri ospiti durante il colazione. Il proprietario era di solito piacevole, ma abbiamo avuto un po' di frigorifero per portare il caffè al piano di sotto la mattina. Prima del colazione avevamo fatto il caffè utilizzando il La macchina del caffè capsula fornita dalla B&B nel vestibulo di sopra. Il caffè era buono e non l'abbiamo finito. Non voleva gettarlo via, l'abbiamo portata al colazione. Il proprietario era un po' confuso che lo facessimo, La sua visione di un buon decoro per un ”formale” colazione è un po' turbata. Abbiamo apprezzato la città e le migliaia di isole, ma non ci sarebbe rimasto nella Casa Bullock.

I checked in around 6pm on 2023/10/4. The front desk was not in a friendly mood. She thanked me for being an IHG Club member, but did not acknowledge my IHG elite status, or tell me any welcome points were being deposited. They had upgraded me to a suite (which IHG informed me via email) but the email did not say it went from two beds to one bed. I specifically wanted two beds, so this should never be an automatic upgrade! When I asked reception to put me back in a room with two beds, she seemed annoyed. Thankfully, they still had a room with two beds, or it would've been very disruptive. Finally, she told me my credit card would be charged overnight, instead of upon check-out. This is unusual. When I informed her that I might pay with a different payment method upon check-out, she had to make an extra note on my bill. My request wasn't unusual, so maybe the hotel shouldn't process final payments until check-out. The room was dated and cleanliness could have been improved. I did not feel I got good value for the money.

The staff was amazing - super friendly and very accommodating. We booked 3 rooms which were all very clean and comfortable. The pool area was very relaxing with several picnic tables available as well. There were a lot of options to walk to for dinner. Breakfast had a really good selection and the eggs and sausages were hot. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking to stay in Ganonoque!
