Candlewood Suites Galveston

I declared my 2 service dogs at check in, the staff even talked to them. Stayed all weekend, went to check out and the Indian owner hit me with a $150 fee. Service animals are allowed to stay without a fee and he refused to refund it, telling me to file with the Federal ADA. His email is in the photo. Don’t support this place. Stay elsewhere.

Old dirty ran down & MOLDY! You literally can smell the mold upon arrival! Extremely disappointed taking advantage of cruisers! Due to limited options I think this hotel Does not take care of their facility. I am an platinum IHG member and have NEVER experienced such low standard when it comes to their hotel. I will NEVER stay here again. This place needs to be gutted

Enjoyable weekend visit for our first trip to Galveston. Convenient to all places of interest. Comfortable beds and a very clean facility. Staff was friendly, helpful and accommodating. Prices very competitive. Ample safe parking. Great amenities available.

Moldy lampshade, toilet seat with several wood spots showing through, broken tile in bathroom, foggy windows that don't stay open, BUT lovely kitchenette and well appointed room convenient to everything. Walls pretty thing, at one point I wondered if our neighbors were IN our room. $75 for a dog is definitely on the high end, but the manager nicely lowered the price I paid because rates came way down after I booked and the hotel wasn't too busy. Didn't miss breakfast at all.

The free laundry facilities were a huge convenience as well, allowing me to freshen up my clothes without any hassle. The location of Candlewood Suites Galveston was ideal. Situated in close proximity to popular attractions and the beach, it was easy to explore the area without spending too much time on transportation. Additionally, the hotel's serene ambiance provided a peaceful retreat after a day of exploring. The commitment to cleanliness and safety during these times was evident throughout the property. I’ve never felt better about writing a review. My travel partner and I had an extended stay at Candelwood Suites in Galveston and it surpassed out expectations. The facility was well kept, it was very clean, and the staff were excellent!!! There were plenty of small kitchen appliances we could used, which saved us $$$. The gym and laundry area were always clean and available 24hrs. I cannot say enough about the general manager Ali, he was AMAZING!!!! If ever there was a request or minor issue he took care of it in a very timely manner. Traveling as single female we felt VERY safe there. The staff is extremely honest as well, my CC was returned to me when I accidentally dropped it somewhere on the property. My stay there was beyond pleasant, I felt safe and there isn’t anything negative I can say. I hope the staff keep up the good work they are doing there. If ever I’m in Galveston again I will be staying there. It’s the BEST value on the island.
