Jetwing Saman Villas, A Luxury Reserve - Adults Only

Day in Paradise We only had the chance to experience this place for a day, but it left us wanting more The location the hotel is built on is superb, with unmatched views of the ocean in all directions We stayed at the upstairs room which I think is the better choice compared to the more costly room with a pool in the downstairs. The staff really took this place to the next level, offering the best care, and going out of their way to make the experience more memorable The food too , was excellent. Enjoying the meals while enjoying the calming waves of the sea, was so enjoyable. Also the complimentary brief foot massage they provided was a nice touch. It’s the peaceful vibe of this hotel , that makes this place such a great place to relax and unwind, detaching yourself from the world around. Special Thanks to the manager and our butler Dilhara. 10/10 recommended !

It was an unforgettable stay at the Jetwing Hotel! The very clean, spacious rooms are tastefully decorated. Mr. Baddewithana's attentiveness, friendliness, and professionalism made our stay a relaxing one. He was always available and left nothing to be desired! The spa and pool area leave nothing to be desired. I'll be back.

Actual rating 4.5 We visited this property in Jan 2023 and loved the experience, so we decided to visit again. This review is on the second visit. This boutique hotel is situated on a slightly rocky outcrop giving it a different vibe from a typical beach hotel and offering spectacular views. The rooms are more like villas, with an outside veranda, a living cum bed room and a spacious bathroom. My favorite part was the tub with the semi open roof. (But was not a fan of the small step separating each area as it was difficult to get used to on a short visit). They have a nice looking spa where we got a 15 minute complimentary foot massage and a lovely pool. There are two large stretches of clean public beaches on either side of the property. The dining area too is quite spacious. The dinner was a set menu. The appetizer and the soup was rather ordinary. The mains were pretty good though. But there was about a 30 minute gap between each course which was surprsing considering it was a set menu with 3-4 options. The real let down were the cocktails which were quite watery. The breakfast we had on our previous visit was one of the best we've had anywhere. There were only two choices, local or western but there was a whole series of dishes under each option and the flavors were spot on. This time, while the spread was still the same massive spread and the food was good, the flavors didn't come up to the high standards set last time. The staff were very young, very pleasant and very enthusiastic. But we missed the subtle professionalism of the more senior staff we met last time. All in all it was a rather pleasant and relaxing experience. We would have given it 5 stars if not for the very high bar set on our previous visit.

Saman Villas is an excellent hotel with a unique, stunning view. The service is great (our personal service & assistance was done by Sudath - he did the best service we ever had). The rooms were very nice, cozy and comfortable. Highly recommend to stay here.

A pristine, uplifting setting, with a dramatic ocean outlook with a choice of two beaches on one’s doorstep. There is a friendly, attentive and unobtrusive ambience. The cuisine is exceptional and varied with a local twist. The overall experience is enhancing to the senses and quite restorative.

This was one of the best hotels I have been Amazing hospitality, amazing food and peaceful atmosphere I have already made plans to comeback And mentioned it to a ton of my friends 10/10 would recommend to any couples and parents looking for a weekend getaway
