The bathtub and sauna are made of cypress from the foot of Mt. Fuji. The bedroom is made of four 4.4m wide, 70cm thick planks. The headboard is a single plank 1m wide made of camphor, a famous tree that has been considered auspicious since ancient times. Camphor is not only a symbol of longevity and immortality, but also a fragrant tree. The scent of camphor's natural essential oils and the gentle, soothing wood grain will help you sleep peacefully during your trip. The shoji screens that gently divide the space are made using traditional techniques by the local Fujinomiya City Yu Handmade Washi Workshop. They are made by hand from materials such as kozo, mitsumata, and gampi, and finished using the traditional sun-drying method of taikobari.
