Great location, in the heart of high street of Woodstock and 10 minutes walk to the gate of Blenheim Palace. The room was spacious and super clean. You got all you need and you can request fresh milk from Reception for coffee or tea. Breakfast was fantastic.

I had dinner included with 30£ allowance. I ordered 2 beers and they charged 19£ which really overpriced! The breakfast was real disaster. You can order just English breakfast which is included. Anything else is for extra charge. So you have no choice. The staff was unprofessional and had problem to understand English.

Absolutely luxurious stay! They thought of everything with no detail left unchecked including doggie treats, bowls, doggie bed and blanket as well as complimentary Nespresso coffee machine with coffee pods. The absolute best! And the bed? Best sleep ever!😌 Soft luxurious cotton and duvet upon duvet piled on top, felt like sleeping on clouds☺️ Room was warm, cosy, modern with a luxurious vintage theme, sparkling clean with all the expected amenities including smart TV. Large clean Bathroom room with lots of luxury towels and spa quality toiletries 🤩😍 I really could go on...I've stayed in a lot of hotels and this is BY FAR the absolute best and worth every single penny! Oh and the staff are so lovely 🤗 and accomodating to your needs. Perfect hotel and perfect stay! I can't bloody wait to go back there again 🙌

Great location and lovely buildings. Service and food good. Disappointing surcharges at breakfast considering one of our number didn’t have breakfast and they weren’t good value.

The MacDonald Bear Hotel is a special place indeed, so old (yet extremely modern) that the uneven floors make you think you've been drinking even when you haven't! We loved it and would return. Thank you.

Stayed here to visit Blenheim Palace's Christmas events. The hotel was much more than just a place to stay - it was beautifully decorated for Christmas, characterful and comfortable. We enjoyed spending time chatting in the bar - roaring fire, comfy chairs etc - and the food was lovely. Very easy flat walk to Blenheim - we will visit again to do more of the Cotswolds.

Lovely hotel, great cottage style room. Very spacious and comfortable.
Good breakfast freshly cooked - found it odd that not offered toast with our full English - first time I've known that in a hotel of this standard
