Hotel a Franz Josef, Nuova Zelanda

Avevamo un alloggio negli alberi. Ci siamo adorati. L'appartamento è molto ben arredata, molto gentile, ci sentiamo molto bene, con una bella vista, molto piacevole. L'accoglienza molto calda e buon consiglio per i randagi. Non abbiamo testato il spa. Il ristorante moonson non è super, 1 ora d aspettare per il piatto, troppo lungo. Chicken schnitzel e bovino non terribile.

Abbiamo soggiornato per 2 notti e abbiamo avuto un bel soggiorno. L'ostello era super pulito, confortevole con un posto d'incendio luminoso ogni notte per il tempo freddo e il personale super amichevole. E 'una grande posizione e Georgie era incredibile, andando sopra e oltre per aiutarci! Così utile e amichevole!

My husband and I travelled to NZ for our honeymoon. Aspen Court was one of the best accommodations we stayed at in our trip. The rooms are very well thought of, with the perfect amenities one could need for their stay. They had a separate makeup removal towel, which was definitely a plus in my book. They are right across the street from the Franz Josef Glacier Guides and an incredible hot tub place (Waiho Hot Tubs). The laundromat is also a 2 min walk and the grocery store is a 5 min walk. The staff were very thoughtful and friendly. We were going to arrive pretty late and when informed, they were sweet enough to keep the room ready for us with the heater on and the room keys on the table. Location: 10/10, Amenities 10/10, Staff: 10/10

Passò da Christchurch a Franz Josef Village. Questa piccola stanza motel aveva tutte le basi, più un unico elemento portatile e un grande panino di fritto solare. Grande per piccoli pasti per aiutare con i costi. Parcheggio fuori strada. Camminando a distanza da tutto il villaggio. Scurta guida a Franz Josef Glacier. Il manager dell'hotel era informativo e utile con consigli locali. Dopo un primo giorno umido, ci svegliamo la mattina seguente per vedere il ghiaccio sulle montagne dalla porta del nostro motel. Lavanderia degli ospiti disponibili.

My second visit, after 9 years and it's still the same. It's an achievement in itself about how you keep a hotel the same through a decade but kudos to the management for achieving that. Which also means my complaint from last time stays which is that the hotel and it's rooms are not sound proof and being in close proximity to the parking areas, there is a bit of a noise which saws through the tranquility of the space. Apart from that, it was a lovely stay, rained for 2 days of the three we were there but nonetheless it's always lovely to be staying at this hotel. The food at restaurant was great. If you order in early its better because they get pretty busy during meal time. And they are a favorite with the tour groups so good luck finding a table without reservation. The Landing Bar is 2 mins walking distance so that's an option as well. Location wise the hotel is perfect as it's just a stone's throw away from the supermarket (which is a welcome new addition) and the main activity areas which is the heli-hike, hiking, skydiving and the like.

We had booked for 2 nights and left after the first night. The washing machine located on the premises and advised to be used by the staff destroyed approximately $600 of laundry that was washed. The blaze, indifferent and eye rolling response from the ‘owner’ was frustrating and unhelpful. After being fobbed off to deal with someone called Logan, his unprofessional business manner and redirection of blame to me was flabbergasting and amazing. After reading Tripadvisor reviews, there is a clear connection with Logan being a previous owner or manager of the motel and now has a strange connection with the faulty laundry that is everyone else’s fault but his. As our stay continued there were more issues to arise. The room was stifling hot. I appreciate that NZ motels are not use to this warm weather and therefore to not have air conditioning but to not include a fan is terrible. We struggled to sleep the first night as we could not get a breeze in the room. Our room backed directly onto the Alice May restaurant which created loud operation noise, cooking smells and light from the restaurant. The bed was far from comfortable. Even though the bed is a King bed capable of becoming 2 singles, there should be a mattress topper on the bed to alleviate the ridge down the middle and the fact the beds are hard and probably old. The linen smelt of oil or cooking fats, I can only assume this is because of the location of the restaurant or the fact the motels washes and dries the towels in full public view in the car park exposed to air from the restaurant. The Terrace was the 6th hotel we had stayed in during our time in NZ. The bathroom amenities they provided are exactly the same brand that some others have provided…the only difference, this motel has obviously watered down the amenities. They were watery and ineffective. Much like the amenities, the shower head in the room was ineffective and pathetic. Cleary during their recent ‘refurb’ these new shower heads had been installed. Unfortunately, ours sprayed every direction but where is should and if you had it turned down too low there was no water but have it too high and it would sting you. The next morning, we decided we could not stay an extra night at the property and checked into another motel for the night. There are plenty of other and no doubt better options in Franz Joseph.

La nostra camera “Tui” era bella, grande bagno con bagno spa, ferro da toletta riscaldato, grande cucina, letto confortevole. Un grande riscaldatore di legno falso che ha riscaldato la stanza in un momento in cui non c'era tempo e ha guardato incredibile con le fiamme.Ma la cosa migliore su questo alloggio era lo spazio! Anche un bellissimo soggiorno confortevole, una tavola da caffè e un grande piccolo spazio seduto all'aperto che si è appoggiato su una bella zona remota, molto privata. Lavanderia degli ospiti. Parcheggio vicino alla nostra camera.

Buona molto pulita e temperata. Bello prezzo .vicina ai ristoranti supermercato tutto.distanza nuvolosa . & Molto. Il servizio del motel è stato eccellente. Molto professionale .Noi adoramo l'opportunità di parcheggiare proprio fuori dalla nostra stanza!

We loved it here. Clean, well equipped beautiful park. Rooms were a little stark and bed wasn’t the most comfortable but u would definitely recommend staying here. We lived the laundry too, the dryers actually dried your clothes!

Molto buon hotel, il signor Gibbin sarà gratuito per il servizio di autobus, il personale della reception è anche amichevole e entusiasta. Le domande saranno risposte e soddisfatte. Il pranzo è 5 pranzi. Il servizio è anche molto buono, molto soddisfatto. La prossima volta che andiamo sulla costa occidentale, sceglieremo.
