The Farm is nestled on a mountain ridge overlooking the Calendon river. It is close to the Lesotho border for travellers to our neighbours. The highlight for me was the morning and afternoon guided hikes. They were informative but also provided much needed exercise in a beautiful terrain. You can also enjoy an outing on horseback. The staff is very professional and engaging. It is a 30 minute drive to the artsy town of Clarens, convenient for an outing.

This was my first time at Wyndford. It won't be my last. From the time we arrived, I felt welcomed and relaxed immediately. The staff are super-friendly and helpful and the owner (Oom Josef) introduced himself personally. Erhardt was on hand to guide our interesting walks and offer games and entertainment in the evenings. The tennis courts and swimming pool have recently been upgraded and were a pleasure to use. The kitchen staff went out of their way (I did not even request it) to ensure I could eat gluten-free meals.

This beautiful place is nestled amongst mountains, trees and bird song. The ideal place to rejuvenate the tired soul. Every meal is deliciously prepared. During the festive season each meal became better than the one before. All the staff are friendly, hospitable and go the extra mile. A must for every solo, couple and family traveller...

The gardens remind one of a Secret English Garden; the chalets are comfortable and continuously upgraded; the food just keeps coming with dishes grandma used to cook; morning and afternoon teas are memorable; guided walks to various sites, the camel’s head, the tortoise’s chin, ibis gorge, the big drip and so many more. However what makes Wyndford a memorable experience that will get you booking your next stay at check-out, are the affable new owners that welcome visitors like family! Plenty of fun activities for young and old in a safe and friendly environment. Pristine bowling green, beautiful swimming pool, two upgraded tennis courts, zip-line in the pine forest and super friendly and helpful staff. Thank you du Plessis family for making our stay once again a memorable experience!

Awesome experience. Rooms were clean. Family experience. Owners makes everyone feel at home. Love the tea times. Very special experience. New owners are awesome !!! Food was perfect. We had a lovely Christmas with our family. Highly recommended and I will definitely return.

Holidays are for different reasons, adventure, culture, religion, relaxation yo name a few. Wyndford Holiday Farm offers two of these, excellently. Nicely appointed rooms or chalets, three hearty meals a day, with added morning and afternoon tea including delicious baked treats. The owners and friendly staff are always on hand and strangers soon become friends. There is a chapel on site. Then there are the activities, swimming, tennis, bowls, a little putting course, indoor games, table tennis, pool etc for wet days. Add guided walks twice a day, ranging from easy to up-the-mountain adventurous, horse riding, cycling tracks...what more could you ask for? Oh yes, beautiful gardens and time to really smell the roses.

Amazing place. Warm hospitality. Old school family vibe with all the comfort of modern needs. Hosts are amazing and the area is very nice. We were here for Christmas and it was a wonderful experience. Will keep coming back. Staff are very kind, funny and offer a great level of service. Hiking and trail running in the area is amazing and relaxing. All round a wonderful restful place.
