Everything I needed for a budget conscious visit to South Gippsland in winter. Easy check in, tips on where to go, clean and comfy room with excellent heating and shower pressure, right next to the pub for a counter meal. Nice to have lawns and garden rather than parking lots, and homey touches like fresh flowers by the bed. Didn’t see a whale at nearby Cape Liptrap today but the drive was gorgeous and Gurney’s was excellent stopover for lunch. Refreshing mini-break, thanks.

Used to be great value, now the greatest rip off in Gippsland. Tiny, run down rooms, taps drip and after a 7 hour drive we had to rouse the owners from then pub to let us in. Such a shame the greed in hospitality now.

Something about this little motel..Friendly vibe, simple and clean, well located next to pub. Owners rang promptly after a minor item was left behind..thankyou! If you're looking for a place that's uncomplicated where you feel that the owners care, the Meeniyan Motel is the place.

Excellent value for money. The motel has lovely gardens, basic but comfortable rooms and bicycles available. Extremely friendly and helpful owners, Matt and Mel, who gave us good advice on lovely places to visit. They really make you feel welcome and work hard to look after the place. Really enjoyed our stay. Meeniyan is a lovely small town with good facilities and perfectly located for the cycle trail and access to Wilsons Prom and surrounding area.

Whilst it was clean. We paid 320$ to sleep one night in an old tired motel. I feel the room needs updating. The bathroom was ancient. It is way overpriced for what you get.

Fast becoming one of my favourites. Made booking over the phone. Did not need to check in at reception. Having a dog was not a problem. Apartment was more than adequate. Clean. Will definitely be back. And soon. Loved the town and beautiful surrounds.

Small motel with the basics. I thought it was rather pricey , considering it was absolutely basic. The bed was not really comfortable, Unit 1 was next to the noisy Pub , grounds were a bit unkempt , bathroom basin was cracked and toilet cistern wouldn't refill easily. Still, it was clean and ok for a one night stop-over.

This is a great place to stay for riding the Great Southern Rail Trail, visiting Wilson’s Promontory or simply enjoying the many delights of South Gippsland. It is next door to the Meeniyan Hotel, within a few minutes walk of bakeries , bike hire , gift and curio stores. Simple but modern country motel with all the comforts you will need for your stay, set amongst pretty lawn and gardens. Grateful to the owners for accommodating our changes to the itinerary. Highly recommend as a place to stay when visiting the area. The water in the bathroom is hot and has good pressure.
