Enjoyed the airport shuttle. Perhaps specific directions for picking up the shuttle with booking materials would be helpful. I found it easy because I found out where I needed to go, went there, and picked up my shuttle. However, people in general want you to do everything for them and they don’t plan ahead , then follow directions.
At busy times, especially check-in times, a second clerk needs to be added to the front desk. I sat in the lobby watching the clerk manage two phones at once (many calls were from people who couldn’t follow directions for the shuttle and some were from very rude people who couldn’t follow directions) while he was checking people in and watching his printer break down. He handled it like a true professional.
The facility is a little dated but has been updated in many areas. It is clean. The rooms are spacious and you don’t feel cramped, especially with the layout of the bathroom door with respect to the room door and the entry layout. The bathrooms are large and well-maintained. There is a slight musty smell to the rooms but these rooms haven’t had any fresh air in them for years as you can’t open the windows a crack. I don’t know if it’s possible to add a cabin filter to the AC unit or periodically air a room out.
The mattresses are hard but you quickly get used to it and they offer a great night’s sleep. The rooms are dark and quiet. Overall, a bit pricey for what is offered. Perhaps making the cruise port shuttle complimentary would help.
