It is an old styled hotel with lots of rooms on one floor. The sound proof is okay. The bed is not well fixed when I went in but the receptionist is nice n friendly. But considering the price, you got everything u need. It is right in front of the Harbour which is pretty decent.

Spectacular stay as always, I upgraded to a balcony a room and we weren’t disappointed. Amazing views of the harbour, beach and the white cliffs of Dover on the large balcony. At night it was lovely clear skies and we could see France from our balcony. Room was a great size with homely furniture and furniture for the balcony too. All clean and up to a high standard. Beach and harbour is just a 2 minute walk across the road. Bar and restaurant yet again superb! I went with a dog and had no problems getting meals. Staff as always super polite and helpful they are a credit to the hotel! Highly recommend The Grand Burstin to anyone!

Has everything you would expect a budget hotel to have. Extra pillow in the wardrobe and the choice of mugs and plastic drinking glasses. Would definitely stay here again and would recommend to friends and family.

Friendly staff great hotel close to the town and my dad's care home. Comfortable bed clean and cosy room. I loved it thank you. 5 star's from me.

We came to stay for four nights and ended up staying for 14… love it here. They have everything going on for every interest. It may not be be the flashiest or the poshest but the price is amazing and all the essentials are taken care of. Meals are really reasonable and are well presented. The staff are super friendly and always happy to help. It feels like a happy holiday place. Don’t overlook this place thinking the price reflects quality… and to top it all off the hotel is opposite the most beautiful ha tv our where the sun rises every morning

We are back into the realms of "owned by Brittania Hotels" meaning standards aren't the best. This time, the balcony door had no lock on it at all, meaning you could enter from the balconies. Had to push for the hotel to do a room change. The new heaters continue to be a challenge. Months on now, no instructions in the room, and no supplemental heating available. Yet again a queue at Reception of people complaining of how cold the rooms are. Walking in to a stone cold room on a winters day is not on. The excuse - they cost too much to run.

I stayed here with my friend & cat for the night after getting off the ferry & it did the job perfectly. Could be seen as a little bit of a sketchy area at night but that’s not the hotel that’s outside of & we still felt comfortable to walk around to the car at night so it’s not dangerous. There was just a few drunk people around. Overall we had a good stay.

I don’t like writing bad reviews but I have to for this one! The rooms have electric heating which you have to turn on when you go in which is fine but then it’s not a nice feeling to walk into a freezing hotel room in winter! Our room didn’t have hot water and as there is no phones in the rooms you have to go to the reception to report anything you need to. Staff was very polite to change our room as we were going to stay only a few hours to catch our ferry. They gave us room 664 which had hot water but the bed was just horrible, you can feel all the metals in your body, the carpet was sooo dirty we didn’t want to walk on it! I don’t know when was the last time it was hoovered and I’m sorry but the hallway was smelling like people have been peeing everywhere on the corridor!! Horrible smell. And avoid the small lift, it doesn’t work proper! It’s such a shame cause the hotel is in a great location but it’s too old and lacks love and care!

Staied a night in this hotel, was happy with everything considering the price I paied. Room was clean. Best part is location and a view, but, unfortunately my view was of a patking lot. Overall-good stay.

Excellent stay! Always I am satisfied from this hotel!

General cleanliness and repair of the hotel was below par. The rooms were also not very sound proofed so you can hear a lot of noise from inside and out of the building. Parking is £5 and wifi is additional unless in the communal areas.

Very good value, room wasn’t great basic, but matched price.
