Travelers Inn

I booked this room while travelling from southern AZ to central UT. Upon arriving in Flagstaff I checked my phone to verify the hotel location. What I found was an email informing me my reservation had been cancelled. The reason cited an invalid credit card. Interesting. I had used the card just two hours earlier for fuel. Oh, it gets better. I called to inquire and received a litany of excuses. Later when I did book a room elsewhere and looked into the matter I found that this hotel, booked on a travel site as a reserve now - pay on arrival booking, had attempted to charge for the room and some insane deposit. We had no pets and made no special requests. I am glad my card's services protected me from this. But wait there is more. After rudely dismissing my inquiry the hotel staff called me later to let me know there had been a cancellation and that I could have that room. I am not joking. Do yourself a favor - DON'T BOOK OR STAY HERE.

We were pleasantly surprised. We booked this with friends who were traveling to the US from Denmark (We are US citizens). We arrived to Flagstaff one day ahead of them and were planning to pick a nicer hotel the first night but decided to take a look at this since we had reservation for night two with our friends. After looking (with my reluctant wife and daughter) we decided to stay the first night too. It was clean and just fine for our needs. It was old but the air worked, the room was clean and the shower, bathroom, etc was clean, which is also key. The train did come by twice before 11pm but was quiet after that. If you are looking for a budget stay, it really isn't bad. We typically stay at Hilton or Marriott. The owner was nice and let us look at a room before we booked the first night.

We booked this place online and its not like the pictures. There is NOTHING good about this place. $140 a night, over priced dump. Trains, trains, trains, LOUD. LOUD neighbors and can hear their heater run off and on all night. TV signal fades in and out. Heater is louder than the tv, and it runs for 10 mins off and on. Very annoying. Sheets did not fit the bed and were falling off all night and dirty. Holes in the curtains and no soap in the dispensers. Towels were spotted and dirty. Front door does not seal, so cold air blows in all night
