Travelodge by Wyndham Port of Tacoma WA

First, shout out to the two ladies running the front desk over the two nights i had to be there for a conference (everything else nearby was booked, it was that are sleep in my car after a 15 hour drive). When we arrived there was a notice on the door that they were overbooked by 30 people! And a line up of people arriving from all over NA for a conference via air, bus, car, ride shares... no extra support from management or all hands on deck for an overbooked hotel. Just one person at front turning away people who had reservations while checking in the ones who made the list. Second, while checked in but waiting for a room to be ready, noticed what appeared to be multiple gang members just hanging out like they owned the place. Definitely dealing stuff in the parking lot WHILE there was a line up of people. Most of the cleaning staff were taken home by them, instantly making me feel even more unsafe. The room was shockingly bad. While the bedding was clean, floor vacuumed and mopped, bathroom clean... it stank. The walls were filthy and had drippy nicotine stains. The shower was dangerous to use and it either burned or froze you no in between no matter how much you fiddled with the shower knob. Window lock broken off. Door jam pushed back together so the door would close and lock, but had clearly been kicked in recently. Microwave and fridge missing from the room. They did go find us some, which I am guessing were taken from long term residents. And that made me feel even worse. But as we had helped a couple people find another place to stay, huge conference happening that weekend! We realized there was no where else to go and just had to live with it. At night they have security and close the parking lot gate. But we were still awaken at 3 am by whatever was going on outside. Partner tried to call Wyndham head office and they were spectacularly unhelpful. Beds were not bad a little soft for my tastes. This is now the second time I've had bad experience with a Travelodge in teo different countries, so, now they are on our never again list. Too bad, we used to like them.

Men not appearing to be employees were working on cars under the guest entrance , they were smoking and disrupting the piece while I went to check myself in. The front desk lady was rude and over charged me for my room. I am unable to get in contact with this location and will be reporting this with my credit card. Do not stay here or at any Wyndham location it was very dirty. On top of many other issues the next door room to mine appeared to be a long term guest with the smell of pee and garbage coming from their door..

Travelodge is a chain hotel, so I believed it keeps a certain quality, so I didn't check the quality carefully. This place looks very scary and a customer was arguing at the front desk for a long time. I reserved this place online, but I didn't stay. I lost money but I had a good lesson.

Do not stay in this place you will pay for what you think you're getting and then they will put you somewhere else that's not even close to what you requested and paid for there's no breakfast the rooms are filthy none of the outlets work and there's no breakfast and there's people outside the office doing ***** and passed out it needs to be torn down is horrible

After being switched to 3 separate rooms I asked for a refund and went to a different motel. In the 1st room the hot water didn't work neither did the television. The 2nd room the key card reader to get in she said the battery was dead so I was going to have to ask to be let in each time. The 3rd room was above crazy noise and randoms in the parking lot that's when I decided to leave this place is gross disgusting and nasty there was cigarette burnholes all through my bedspread in my non smoking room

The first room was dirty, had an electrical socket open with hot wires sticking out and had a shower curtain bar that was not affixed at its ends (it was a permanent attachment). We were able to get another room that was better. But there was no internet as warned by the hostess on check-in. Then the next morning there was no breakfast. They said they did not have anything for guests. They offered a carafe of coffee in the lobby - no tea, no creamer, just sugar and Styrofoam cups. The hostess eventually found a huge container of creamer but no spoon to scoop it out - she gave me a fork! They advertise internet and breakfast but they did not deliver. The promised call from the manager never happened.
