Riad nel cuore della città vecchia molto accogliente e con camere ben ristrutturate, curate negli arredi e nel dettaglio. Grazie a Cristian e Iassim per la loro estrema gentilezza e disponibilità…ci hanno coccolato per tutto il soggiorno a Fes!!

Ho scelto questo posto per il mio soggiorno a Fez in compagnia di mia sorella ed un'amica, dopo una lunga ed accurata ricerca. Ho visto le foto sui vari siti ed ho contattato direttamente la struttura. Il proprietario, Christian Stephan, è una delle persone più deliziose che abbia mai incontrato. Molto professionale ed allo stesso tempo simpatico ed empatico; ci ha seguite ed aiutate già da prima del nostro arrivo nella sua struttura, preoccupandosi ed occupandosi di tutto per noi. E' stato molto disponibile ed attento facendoci sentire come delle principesse... !!! Il Riad è a dir poco meraviglioso, ristrutturato ed arredato personalmente da CF con grande gusto. Ho avuto modo di visitare tutte le stanze e mi complimento per come sono state concepite ed arredate, senza mai tralasciare alcun dettaglio. La posizione è strategica per raggiungere in meno di un minuto la via principale del Souk da dove si dipanano matasse di stradine. Il ristorante del Riad "le Mare'sk" è molto accogliente ed è stato ristrutturato in chiave moderna pur non perdendo la classicità della struttura. Ottima sia la prima colazione, assolutamente variegata ed abbondante (CF soddisfa tutte le richieste dei clienti e si apprezzano sia i dolci che il salato), che la cena; i piatti della cucina marocchina, rivisitata e corretta, ci hanno dato modo di apprezzare qualcosa dal sapore unico e diverso rispetto alle solite "Tajine" che si mangiano altrove. Abbiamo anche goduto di un aperitivo in una delle tante terrazze della struttura con gradevoli stuzzichini ed un ottimo vino bianco! Che dire.... super consigliato!!! Voto: un bel 10 allo staff per la gentilezza e la pulizia ed un 10plus a Christian Stefan che oramai è un amico!

Sono capitata per caso in questo bellissimo riad e non avrei potuto fare scelta migliore. Il posto è incantevole, curato nei minimi dettagli, pulitissimo, con stanze confortevoli, ampie ed accoglienti. La posizione è semplicemente eccellente, a due passi dalla porta blu e dall’arteria principale della Medina. Ma il vero lusso di questa struttura è il suo proprietario, sempre disponibile, simpatico, attentissimo e disposto a risolvere tutte le nostre esigenze. Il riad maure è il tipico posto in cui lasci io cuore, non solo per la Sua bellezza, ma per l’amore e la dedizione delle persone che ne hanno cura. Ci tornerei altre 1000 volte

Overrated Riad. Lack of management and organisation, pictures don't match with reality as they look nicer and more modern than they are. Orange juice didn't look legit, the room was clean but amenities were almost missing. Towels were old and not spotless. Surely not the experience you expect from a 4 star hotel. Services are missing as well. The location is not the best either, as it is located in a narrow street not very easy to find and not the best at night. We were disappointed.

An excellent place. And the perfect host. Beautiful view of Fes from the rooms with terrace! Great breakfast and welcoming team at the Riad. There is parking a few minutes away at reasonable cost. However, beware of the porters. While the asking rate to carry luggage to the Riad is 20dirham, the porter would not let us enter the Riad without 100 dhs!

I was travelling with my family of 8 (parents and parents in-law). We all agreed that some of the best food we had in Morocco was at La Maison Maure! Christian-Stéphane, the owner made us feel very much at home. The dinners we had two nights in a row were exceptional- keftah in tomato sauce, lamb shoulder falling off the bone, chicken in a mushroom white sauce and delicious vegetables served with this spread that left us full and happy each night. The location in the medina (but in the quiet part of it) allowed for easy access to walk around even at night. The view from the terrace is incredible and the sunsets are gorgeous. The rooms are very comfortable and well appointed and the staff took very good care of us. A wonderful stay!

For six wonderful nights we made Maison Maure our home base to explore Fes and the region. What a treat. Just a moment away from a main street of the medina, down a nearly hidden alleyway, the Maison Maure is a stunning oasis of calm and beautiful design with an incredible host. Christian-Stephane's enthusiasm, guidance and genuine connection with his guests made our trip a great success. He organized two superb day-long tours of the region for us, plus a tour of the medina, with amazing guides. Coming back to Maison Maure at the end of the day to our beautiful room, and to enjoy the sunset over the medina from the terrace, felt like coming home. All the staff were beyond helpful. We had an amazing dinner at the restaurant, where we also started our days with wonderful breakfasts. We usually don't write many reviews, but wanted to share our incredible experience. Christian, the host and owner, made the trip 100% A1. He helped organize a tour, help me buy. My bus ticket was a gracious host, had the best stories, and the trip would be a disaster without him. I cannot recommend him highly enough.

We truly enjoyed our stay at La Maison Maure. The rooms were just as lovely as in the pictures and the art on the walls is perectly curated. We enjoyed pre-dinner drinks on the terrasse overlooking the medina and beyond and had dinner indoors on the ground floor restaurant. The (copious!) dinner was excellent; we'd had a chance to discuss our preferences beforehand and everything was perfect. Breakfast again was very tasty although way more than we could eat! Our host Christian was always availble and really went out of his way to make us feel welcome and comfortable and freely shared his knowledge of Fes, life in the medina, art and culture. He also provided great recommendations for sighseeing and lunch options. The riad is only a minute's walk from the main street so extremely central and whithin easy reach of all the sights and points of interest, shops, and restaurants in the medina. Highly recommend a stay at la Maison Maure for a stay in the medina that combines historic charm with contemporary decor. We will definitely return
