Hotel in zona Ó Turista, Fatima

Ci sono 1 ascensore che è accessibile agli ospiti, quindi l'iscrizione è stata facile, ma arrivare in camera con tutti arrivando in tour richiede 20+ minuti. La doccia era a poco di un metro quadrato, quindi, sii attento se sei un po' più rotonda di alta. Mi sono svegliata con una migrana e ho bisogno di cibo per tenerla al bagno. Mia moglie e io ci sedevamo con una piastra molto delicata in una sala da pranzo che era stata quasi vuota e il manager ci ha continuato a sparare, perché la notte prima, senza alcun avvertimento, il telefono era in camera nostra e non siamo stati consultati, solo DONDO che il nostro La prenotazione era ora @ 8:00. Nessun modo, solo un ordine. Il manager era brutto e arrabbiato quando ci ha trovati, e ci ha fatto sentire come se avessimo attraversato una linea immaginaria! L'ultima volta che ho guardato, gli hotel sono là per servire i loro clienti; se il manager fosse stato solo diretto o [divino] gentile, avrei spiegato la situazione - nessuna possibilità. Non ho mai sentito più incomodo con il servizio più aperto e i cambiamenti non richiesti. Ci sono molti, molti hotel a Fatima, come durante i giorni di olio, potrebbero essere prenotate solidamente senza tende da noleggiare, ma questa non era alta stagione. Immagino che molti cattolici devoti sognerebbero di questo tipo di alloggi all'arrivo, ma stiamo solo cercando una visita di una notte. Se siete in Fatima, state attenti a un personale ipervigilante che sembrano farci un grande favore accettando i nostri soldi e permettendoci di mangiare. Non sarebbe tornato se mi mandassero l'aereo e ci invitassero a tornare.

What I liked: 1. I found the staff in the restaurant excellent. They made sure I was accommodated based on my allergies at the included dinner provided by the tour. Even at breakfast, the staff were there to advise. This was impressive. 2. The breakfast was a full breakfast with eggs, bacon, sausage, and fruit. The only improvement is changing the orange juice since it tasted like Tang. This doesn’t make sense in a country with nice oranges. 3. Excellent location and pretty much across the street from the main churches with Fatima. What could be improved/didn’t like: 1. I had a very negative incident with front desk reception which was both disrespectful and unprofessional given my complaint was about a blood-coloured plasma stain on my bathroom wall. Since I started travelling post covid, I always wipe down and clean the hotel rooms with Lysol wipes. It makes me feel more secure. However, when we arrive in our room, we found a plasma like blood coloured stand on the side wall near the washroom faucet. I was not going to clean this by myself, since to me it looked like blood and the room should have been cleaned properly. I went to the front desk to report the issue. The front desk reception was very arrogant and dismissive. He gave me the impression that he thought I was making it up and just wanted to get rid of me. After insisting that it be cleaned, he agreed to send the Room Service Manager up to check. In the meantime, I went to dinner. When I returned from dinner, I saw the stain still on the wall. I assumed that no one came to check. I phoned reception and the front desk told me in an arrogant tone – “He didn’t see anything and there is no problem.” Honestly, I was livid. I couldn’t believe anyone could be so rude and dismissive. Fatima is a place people go for pilgrimages. I don’t see how this behaviour reflects the peace people seek in a pilgrimage. I told him I didn’t even know someone came in the room, since there was no note. I insisted that he come back, since I was now in the room. The Room Service Manger came, and I asked him to put on a mask. Then, we went into the washroom, and I showed him the stain. It was clear he didn’t see it from the last visit. He told me that he looked near the toilet. While he was cooperative and helpful, I was very annoyed. I said that I gave all the information to the front desk reception, and they neglected to pass on anything. He apologized and said he would send someone to clean it. Another lady came to clean the room and I also asked her to put on a mask. She cleaned up the stain in less than 5 mins and apologized that it was missed. I found her genuine. It is very unfortunate that a problem that should have taken 10 minutes to resolve took at least 30 minutes of my time on my vacation. I also didn’t appreciate being presumed a liar when the room was not cleaned properly. The Lysol wipes that I used to clean the room picked up dust and dirt. When I mentioned this prob

Il hotel è stato scelto per la sua posizione ideale, ma è stato piacevolmente sorpreso dalle strutture super moderne, la gentilezza del personale. La mia stanza faceva fronte alla piazza e, come un perchè, potevo sentire le campane del santuario e anche la massa se aprissi la finestra, una vista così tranquilla al mattino. Ho avuto un buffet al ristorante (per 18 o 19 euro), non tanti piatti, ma tutti erano deliziosi, soprattutto il dolce. Mi fa piacere avere la cena lì. Il loro colazione ha anche una buona selezione. L'hotel dispone anche di un negozio di souvenir proprio davanti, molto conveniente per arrivare alle processioni candele e regali di sera da Fatima. Wi-Fi ad alta velocità. In generale sono felice del mio soggiorno e prenoterei questo hotel di nuovo per il mio prossimo viaggio.

Io e la mia famiglia siamo albergati per 2 giorni in questo hotel. È un vecchio monastero di sacerdoti ortodossi che è stato trasformato in Hotel, anche ha una Capella dentro di lui dove sono celebrate misse fino ad oggi. Egli si trova a pochi metri dal santuario e si può camminare in pochi minuti fino a là. Le letti sono buoni, bagno privato e doccia con acqua calda, aria condizionata e il caffè del mattino è meraviglioso. La cura è eccellente, ma il problema è che non ha un frigo nelle camere. Tuttavia, consiglio di ospitare in questo bellissimo hotel.

Stayed in this hotel as part of a tour package booking from Singapore. It has a strategic location just a minutes walk to the square where nightly procession of Catholic worshipers, local and foreigners visit to pay penance or for prayers. The corridor becomes newer n more modern once u go up to the 1st floor. Bedroom n bath are very well organised. Shower stall with 2 glass panels whilst all other hotels on my Spain trip had single glass panel, floor gets wet inevitably. Had an excellent shower. Shower pressure Excellent. Shower stall adequate size for me. Breakfast n dinner were buffet style. Simple and tasty.

Absolutely loved staying at this hotel! Efficient, polite and helpful staff. Nice lobby area. Simply-furnished but clean and comfortable rooms that reflected the theme of pilgrimage in this town. I love the fact that they have a crucifix in every room! Everything worked well in the room and the beds were very comfortable! We had a room with a stunning view of the grounds and the sanctuary. The hotel is situated in a quiet area, far from the noisy pilgrims who, unfortunately, very frequently forget that this is a pilgrimage town! There was ample free public parking on the road outside the hotel and a hotel-owned private parking area just across the road. Walking through the hotel’s grounds and the picnic area of the sanctuary will lead you to the back part of the Basilica of the Rosary. It’s a short, pleasant walk - around 5 minutes. There are coffee shops and restaurants within walking distance of the hotel. The buffet breakfast was standard continental fare. Nothing fanciful but plentiful. No hot dishes. Fresh fruits like apples, oranges and bananas were available. It was self-service which, to me, wasn’t ideal during this pandemic. The staff should be the ones serving the food to avoid many different hands handling the serving tongs/ladles. In addition, every time clients want more food, the food should be served on a clean, new plate. This is just to avoid the serving tongs/ladles from coming into contact with soiled plates and then being returned to the clean food dish. It prevents food contamination. A few other hotels in Fátima actually practise this at their buffets which is really a very hygienic practice! The restaurant area was large and tables well spaced-out. The hotel also provides half board and full board. Apart from breakfast, we didn’t have any other meal there so cannot comment on the quality of the food. We did, however, notice many Portuguese come for meals at the restaurant. Lunch or dinner costs €11/person. The best part of this hotel was the on-site beautiful chapel with the presence of the Lord in the Blessed Sacrament! Masses are said here every morning (7.45 a.m. on weekdays). It was such a bonus for us - to be able to start the day with Mass! Beautiful! The Masses are said in Portuguese and the ambience is so serene and spiritual with the community (priests, nuns and lay religious) present there that you feel at peace and one with God. In sum, this hotel is a good candidate for those wanting to conduct their own private retreat. It has a quiet, spiritual ambience and is very good value for money as breakfast is included in the room rate. I highly recommend this hotel, especially if you are looking for a peaceful stay. Excellent quality/price ratio!

I stayed here in 2016 for five nights, and gave the hotel a very positive review. This year, I stayed for 6 nights, and am delighted that it remains as well run, friendly, clean and pleasant as it was 6 years ago. I think the best description of Hotel Anjo de Portugal is ”comme il faut” -- everything is just as it should be. The rooms are well appointed, the linens high quality, the beds supremely comfortable, the staff solicitous and helpful but not intrusive. The breakfasts are magnificent. We ate in the restaurant twice during our stay. The food was very good and the cost / value ration exceptional. My memory might be failing me, but I seem to remember that previous, at night, the dining room was dimly lit with candles, whereas on this trip it was brightly lit as for breakfast, and to some extent that spoiled the effect for me -- but that's a small complaint. In 2016 I commented that the hotel looked brand new, despite having been built some years previously. Good quality fittings, careful cleaning and regular maintenance are important. Again, I'm pleased to report that our room was immaculately clean, as were the communal areas. Rooms facing the Sanctuary have fantastic views of the Basilica of Our Lady of the Rosary, and we particularly enjoyed being able to hear the Ave bells being run on hour and quarters. This hotel is a good choice for pilgrims wanting to visit Fatima. The hotel is on what I would call the 'quiet' side of town: the side of the Sanctuary with fewer hotels and restaurants -- the 'town' rather than 'tourist' side. However it's a 4 minute walk to the Sanctuary, down 1 safe, clean street and yet close to all amenities. A perfect haven of peace! Like everywhere, Fatima has been badly hit by Covid restrictions, and many hotels, restaurants and tourist businesses have closed since my last visit. I was delighted to see that Hotel Anjo de Portugal has weathered the storm, and I look forward to future visits.

The weather wasn’t great when we stayed, but the hotel’s complimentary bikes / e-bikes ( which you pay for ), mean you can explore the beautiful countryside which was ablaze with many varieties of wild flowers , there’s also great walking in the area. The hotel is quite quirky with its themed rooms, but they’re all very well sized , with bath tubs , with lovely views of nature . The food was excellent and the staff very discreet and helpful , a little bit formal however ! The building has been so well designed with lots of windows which embrace the stunning setting , congrats to the architect. It’s a great place to explore the National park from and we really enjoyed our stay …

Staff atencioso e prestativo, localização excelente, supermercado em frente, estacionamento sem custos, restaurante funcionando por um período considerável (embora os preços sejam altos). O reparo é que embora o café da manhã seja muito bom, exigem que seja agendado o horário em que se vai usá-lo. Não é facultado ao hóspede decidir-se aleatoriamente, tem que agendar.
