Premier Inn Farnborough West (Southwood)

This is a good Premier inn, that has free parking. Staff friendly and efficient. Everything as you would expect from a premier inn. Great value for what you get. It doesn't have a lift, so if you have lots of luggage, request a ground floor room.

Entrance and stairs/landing area very tatty and visible dirt on stairs. Room was just about ok, strong smell of **** outside. Further let down was the adjoining Brewers Fayre which closed at 8pm both nights (Fri and Sat) between Xmas and New Year, not good and lots of people being turned away. Sub optimal experience not the standard Premier Inn actively promote.

This is far and away the worst premier inn in the land, tired and dull, the bloke on check in (when he finally arrived) was about as friendly as an xl bully, told me my pre booked meal was not available as the restaurant had an issue with the gas, and maybe I should order a takeaway or go into town, I’d driven almost 5 hours, I did not want to do that, he then advised breakfast would be fine, is he a gas expert? Or had they closed the kitchen because it was quiet, and didn’t want to honour pre booked meals, did not offer to resolve with partial refund for that part of the booking, the wifi also didn’t work, don’t send people to Rwanda, send them here, it’s far worse

Slept like a baby! Nice clean room, noise free, really friendly staff and a beautiful breakfast selection (full english breakfast was divine). Warm welcome at reception and the most amazing array of choices for breakfast! Would return for sure!

Such a pity that the staff do not have a better place to work in and take care of. The parking is excellent however and the adjoining restaurant is very convenient.
