Splash Landings Hotel

We had a fantastic stay @ Splash Landings Hotel! The rooms were immaculate, the beds were very comfy & the staff throughout were incredible! Peter on reception really made our stay memorable, our 7yr old daughter is autistic & he made her feel very special! She cried several times when we had to leave as he made such a positive impact on her. We loved the water park especially & didn’t want to leave! Room for improvement: the food was extortionately priced & subpar quality (bordering inedible) which needs to be addressed urgently in our opinion. However, the restaurant & bar staff were so accommodating & lovely that they made it all worth it! We loved the hotel facilities & free golf, plus the evening entertainment was a big hit with the live singing, dancing & games. Overall, we had the best family trip we’ve had to date (& we didn’t even get chance to explore the entire park!). Happy 10th Birthday CBeebies!! And a big thank you to all the staff again (Peter deserves a raise!) Aria says hello & misses you very much! Hope to see you all again in the not too distant future!

Mattress in the splash landings hotel were so terrible, I slept better on the floor. Water park music was too loud and too repetitive. The water slides were great. The food was awful and over priced with no healthy options, you had to order a meal with chips and a fizzy drink. The costa was nice but really expensive. Overall, we had a terrible experience and would never return.

Hotel is a bit dated and needs a good haul. Lots of fun evening entertainment and the splash landings water park is great. The food here is shocking, bland, basic and overpriced. Eat at the Alton towers hotel rather than here. Hardly any healthy options.

We had a really lovely experience at Splash landings. The car parking and check in process was super easy. We loved how you could collect your key using their new machines, it made it super quick and convenient after a long day of travelling. The theme and decoration in the hotel was a real highlight. The room was super clean and the house keeping team freshened up the room daily. The bed was comfortable but slightly on the small side. I would say that the bathroom is slightly dated and we would have appreciated a fridge in the room. We did not particularly enjoy the breakfast as it was very crowded and the food selection/ quality could have been better. We were a bit disappointed that you did not get access to the water park as a hotel guest. Considering the price of the room it would have been nice to have access in some capacity included. Overall the service was great and we wanted to give a special mention to Sarah who worked behind the bar. She went above and beyond to help us and she was so polite and professional.

Overall this stay was fantastic! The one thing to note is that this hotel is very very warm but the I suppose it's meant to be a tropical environment. From the moment we arrived the porter on Saturday the 2nd June was a fantastic guy who stored our bags prior to our room being ready to allow us to then go an enjoy our day at the themepark. We arrived back after a busy day, exhausted. The reception staff were brilliant and helped me use the self service checks in. We made our way to our room which was easy to find and there were our bags which was fantastic and made it so much easier with the kids. It's absolutely fantastic that you can go between the hotels for food or entertainment or just to see something different. The only thing I'd say with the entertainment is it could go on a little later until maybe 11ish as when you get back and get showered and eat food the entertainment for the evening is pretty much done which is a shame as we had been looking forward to it. The only thing that I think is pretty bad is the price of the Flambos restaurant. Almost £28 per adult, almost £18 for a junior is absolutely mental! Maybe if there was a massive selection on then fair enough but it's pretty limited and honestly not the best quality for the price. Seriously need to lower the price to match the quality of the food even more so after the prices paid for the hotel stay. But honestly apart from that this was brilliant and we will be back although maybe with our own breakfast. 😂

This place is basically a Travelodge - and a dated one at that. Rooms dated, funny smell, and breakfast awful. Obviously very handy for the park - and if I got the right price I may stay there again - but would make sure I went out for food. DO NOT EAT THERE

Absolutely fabulous stay. Liam on the front desk was so helpful and kind - all staff are a credit to the company. The buffet was good and the evening entertainment made it feel like we were on holiday! Highly recommend for a kid friendly, fun stay.

This was our 3rd time at the splash landings hotel, we attended the Totally Drag event ( this event is awesome) Each time we have stayed it has been enjoyable and comfortable with friendly staff. This stay particularly was made more memorable by front of house greet team member, Peter. He was so welcoming, friendly and was genuinely interested in all those he met, taking the time to get to know a little bit about us and about the event we were attending. Thanks also go to David and Julian. You are all fantastic and keep up the great work.

So where do I start lost my car keys in alton towers park. Came to splash hotel asking for help asking if we could stay in the hotel for a night with me my husband and our 3 children we had nowhere to go we live 3 hours away from home my phone had died my bank card was in the car they were not interested one bit I asked if I could charge my phone behind the desk to get my phone on they said there is phone charging docking station behind what charges you I said phone is off I how can I pay all there bothered about is money money money as we had nowhere to go I asked if we could sleep in reception the managers Joe and Ellie were not interested at all that I had 3 children with me and said no this not aloud im so disappointed in how we got treat we spend £340 just for tickets alone to get in to the park and to get treat like that is so very sad. I hope you slept well at night why we didn’t!!
