We stumbled onto this place completely by accident because our group of 9 miscounted the days we'd need lodging (!). Turns out it was one of the highlights of our trip, and we've already added it to our list of places to return to one day for more time. The location is remote, but we rented two cars to get all of us and our luggage back and forth, and it was affordable (USD $65/car), easy, and made our stay MUCH better. We actually enjoyed the 45 - 60 minute drive to the place....the scenery is gorgeous! There are a few places to eat (and probably get some groceries) on the way or within 10 - 15 minutes drive, but we opted to have the owners make pizza for us in the evening (delicious! they have their own pizza oven!) and continental breakfast in the morning. We paid for both, but it was reasonably priced, tasty and filling. The grounds are just wonderful. We spent a couple of hours in the comfy chairs on the beach enjoying the breeze and getting ready for our long trip back to the US the next day. There are sweet, friendly dogs around and even a pet duck. And there are cards all around to allow you to capture a QR code and find out more about the foliage you're looking at! We ended up renting 5 of the rooms, and every one of them was perfect for us with a large, comfortable bed with mosquito netting (we didn't have trouble with the pesky boogers, but it was nice to know it was there), a ceiling fan and a private bathroom with a WONDERFUL shower. We didn't really want to leave. It was the best sleep we'd had in a week. And the host couple was fantastic. Very helpful, explaining what's where. They've set aside a refrigerator in the kitchenette for guests as well as plates, cutlery, coffee maker, etc. There were also board games available...I wish we'd had time to play! My only complaint - and I admit I'm very pampered and spoiled - is that we visited in January (a hot month there), but because the electricity is derived from solar, they turn off the electricity to the bungalows from ~7:00 am until ~9:00 pm. My husband and I are heat wimps...we really, really wanted the a/c on later and earlier. But, in the end...surprisingly...we were left undamaged :) I can't wait to go back (maybe in August next time...)
