Le Monde is a spacious cottage of no less than 100 m2, sleeping four people. The living room has a complete luxury fitted kitchen and, in colder weather, it is cosy to sit around the wood-burning stove. Of course, there is central heating.The two spacious bedrooms have lovely box-spring beds for a total of four people. If necessary, an extra bed can be added. The bathroom has a shower, sink and toilet. The holiday home has two terraces: the largest is covered and shaded, the other is for sunbathers and has a BBQ.Domaine la Borniotte is a small-scale domain with 3 gites, maximum 10 persons. In the large enclosed garden of 1.4 hectares is a large shared swimming pool with sun beds and parasols. There is also a washing/drying/ironing room. Domaine la Borniotte is within walking distance of picturesque Sainte Alvere with several shops, two bakers, three restaurants, terraces, hairdresser, bar-tabac, post office, tourist office, pharmacy and various medical facilities. There is a lively weekly market with the famous truffle market. Bergerac airport and railway station are 30 minutes away, drop-off and pick-up is possible.Towns and citiesIt is wonderful to stroll through the many medieval towns. For example, visit Sarlat, Périgueux, Domme, Limeuil or Trémolat. Our own Sainte-Alvère is famous for its truffle market. Or follow the gastronomic wine route through the Bergerac, past more than 130 vineyards and wineries. CastlesThe region has many imposing 'knight's castles'. Chateau Beynac, Chateau Castelnaud, Chateau de Hautefort, le Domaine de Campagne and Chateau de Losse, for example, are more than worth a visit. Also special: chateau des Milandes, where Josephine Baker lived for twenty yearsThere is also more than enough to do for active holidaymakers.
