Hotel in zona Harding Lake, Fairbanks North Star

Parcheggio molto bene per quei mesi oscuri invernali quando si è in ritardo alla ricerca dell'Aurora e arrivare in ritardo all'hotel. Anche la sicurezza visibile alla notte nel lobby. Abbiamo soggiornato in una deluxe regina che ha portato con colazione gratuita. Il colazione era migliore di quella delle preferenze per colazione gratuite in hotel. Il personale ci ha anche dato un contenitore per il cibo da portare a nostra figlia che era ancora a letto dopo essere svegliata tardi per cercare le luci del nord. La stanza ha spazio per il bagaglio, una microonde e un frigo. La porta del bagno è un posto strano. Separa la camera da letto dalla stanza, ma la seconda porta non ha porta alla stanza dove si trovano il bagno e la doccia, quindi se qualcuno sta diventando pronto al bacino, devono affrontare il vapore dalla doccia o devono andare a fornire. This is an average Marriott hotel at best. The furnishings are a little dated, the beds were comfortable and the location is in downtown Fairbanks. The elevators can be a little slow and most of the staff seemed helpful and friendly. Pros: It's downtown Fairbanks and there were a few nice restaurants within walking distance. You'll want a rental car though because you have drive pretty much everywhere. The view of the river wasn't anything special but maybe it is in the warmer months. The onsite restaurant is pretty good. Cons: it's downtown Fairbanks and the area is a little sketchy. You encounter quite a few people experiencing homelessness and struggling with addictions. One particular woman who works the front desk in the evenings was the least friendly and least helpful person that we encountered during our entire week long trip. She initially checked us in upon arrival giving us the minimum required information. Nothing extra like we serve breakfast or you'll find coffee over there, etc. Then on our last night, we arrived back at the hotel about 10 pm and couldn't find any parking in the hotel lot or on the street nearby. We parked in a handicapped space while we went inside to see if she had any advice about where to look for parking. When I approached the front desk, she had her head down looking at something on the desk and didn't look up while I stood there. After a couple of minutes, I said, excuse me, could you tell us where to park if the lot is full? She looked at me like I was asking her to solve a complicated math equation. Then she turned to look at the parking lot via the video feed of the parking lot. After scanning it, she said it looks like the overflow lot is full too. When we asked what we should do, she suggested that we come down every two hours and check for on street parking. It's now after 10 pm, we have a very early flight the next day and we're Marriott Platinum card holders. My husband asked if we could park where the hotel shuttle parks. Luckily, at that moment, the shuttle driver came in and offered to go out to the parking lot to see if he could figure something out. Maybe this person would work out better if she worked in housekeeping doing laundry by herself. She clearly doesn't enjoy working with the guests. We'll probably stay somewhere else on our next trip to Fairbanks. The cons outweigh the pros at this hotel.

Rimaniamo qui quando arrivamo a Fairbanks in estate. E 'stato bloccato ma tranquillo e vicino a tutto quello che abbiamo bisogno quando siamo in città. La colazione è in punto e un modo grande per iniziare il giorno. Il personale è grande e ha sempre un sorriso e pronto a aiutare.

Questo hotel è molto vicino all'aeroporto di Fairbanks. Dopo aver lasciato la nostra auto in affitto ci siamo trovati di fronte a un 12 ore di aspettare un volo alle 1:30 e abbiamo deciso di prenotare una stanza qui. Possiamo controllare in anticipo. Il letto era molto confortevole e la stanza era molto pulita. Possiamo dormire diverse ore prima di prendere la loro navetta conveniente all'aeroporto. Questo è a piedi da qualche posto per un snack se hai fame e anche molto vicino alla grande compagnia di bowling Alaska per ricordi e regali di ultimo minuto. Durante il nostro soggiorno abbiamo incontrato diversi del personale e dei proprietari e tutti erano molto amichevoli e molto utili.

L'hotel è stato ristrutturato, il letto è molto comodo!Molto tranquillo!Non sono abbattuto!Il parcheggio è conveniente.Il migliore occidentale più è ancora una buona catena, la colazione è molto deliziosa, la macchina del caffè è automatica e può fare il latte chai super buono.Vai a vedere la luce estrema e arriva mezz'ora!Molto conveniente!Purtroppo non sono riuscito!

Lobby accogliente, pulito e bello con 24/7 distributore di caffè e acqua. Il personale del desk front non era caldo ma fanno il loro lavoro così bene. Valore per soldi! La camera era bella e pulita, tranne per una parte danneggiata/tornata di dove il tappeto incontra la zona non-tappeto all'ingresso. La macchina del ghiaccio al terzo piano era rotta, quindi abbiamo dovuto uscire dal pavimento perché la macchina del secondo piano era fuori dal ghiaccio. Il colazione incluso era grande e soddisfacente; il personale in quella zona è caldo e amichevole. L'hotel è molto vicino all'aeroporto. Il trasporto gratuito all'aeroporto è stato fantastico.Ho dato buon consiglio al conducente che ha aiutato con il nostro bagaglio.
