Hotel in zona Naturdenkmal, Essen

I wanted to book my third visit to this hotel Unfortunately I contacted them by phone and by mail to make a booking. But... The first time by phone they asked me to call another time as they were busy. The second time, the second day, they told me that they already told me that they are busy to take my reservation and I need to send my request by mail. The mail was not answered So the third day I called and they told me that they will check my email when they are less busy. I didn't want to bother them further as they most probably are still busy doing anything else than taking care of their customers. Good luck if you want to book there and you have the same staff to handle your request. Jacques

Wow. Che viaggio è stato alla Convenzione di Essen Spiel. E che ottimo hotel abbiamo avuto la fortuna di prenotare una stanza. Tutto era di prima vista. Ci è stato dato una stanza sul secondo piano, proprio sul lift, nella stanza 226. E' stato davvero molto conveniente, perché per il suono, le finestre erano sempre chiuse, e io sono un fumatore, così mi rendeva facile il viaggio fuori nella zona di fumo. Tutto nella stanza era dove doveva essere. Molte socce per inserire la nostra elettronica, un ufficio per mettere le cose della nostra convenzione e fare i nostri piani per il giorno successivo. La pressione dell'acqua si è verificata nel doccia, tutto in un sapone è stato fornito naturalmente in un dispenser e riempito quotidianamente. La pulizia della stanza è stata effettuata con grande precisione al mattino e la gente era gentile e attenta quando ci siamo accorti di sbatterli. Il personale che abbiamo attraversato era molto bello e gentile, anche se li stavamo sempre affrontando con cose irritanti e triviali. Senti, se ne sono andati, non sono riusciti a farli uscire da noi. Penso che abbiamo provato i limiti della loro pazienza. Nonostante tutti i nostri sforzi migliori - o peggiori - ma in modo involontario - per farli uscire, non hanno nemmeno perso il sorriso. Grande lavoro, tutti! La cerimonia in cima era la decisione dell’hotel di aprire una grande stanza piena di tavoli e sedie per i partecipanti del Spiel di passare la notte una volta che il giorno dell’esposizione era finito. Sono ansioso di tornare alla conferenza l'anno prossimo, e sono sicuro che prenoterò una stanza in questo hotel accanto ai miei biglietti per il volo e la conferenza.

Ich bin eine gebürtige Essenerin und kenne deshalb das Hotel schon ewig. Die Lage ist zentral, gegenüber vom Hauptbahnhof und mitten in der Stadt. Die Zimmer sind je nach Kategorie geräumig. Ich finde es toll, das man die Fenster öffnen kann. Auch die Betten sind bequem. Frühstück gegen Aufpreis, dort gibt es allerdings Verbesserungspotential. Trotzdem 100% Empfehlung

Molto pulite, camere belle e comode mobili, bagno confortevole con doccia, personale bello, un grande plus per parcheggio gratuito in garage, posizione vicino ai negozi, colazione può essere mangiato vicino alla porta in una bella pasticceria

I stayed here for a month whilst working in Essen. Receptionist friendly helpful and spoke excellent English. I was upgraded to an executive room, which was dated but clean and spacious and included a fridge. I was thankful for the air conditioning as the weather was hot at the time of my stay but would have preferred a sheet instead of the thick quilt. Breakfast was the standard offering but a rip off at €21 - you get a far better and cheaper breakfast at similar hotels. There’s a bar and an evening menu but this wasn’t always open however when it was the barman was great to have a chat with and get some local knowledge. There’s power sockets by the bedsides and WiFi was good. Location is good being just a 5 min walk to the underwhelming and disappointing city centre. It’s also only a 5 min walk to the metro which offers great value and for a fee of €9, gets you anywhere, although this was during a summer promotion. As a resident you get access to a gym across the road. The house keeping was at times quite poor with surfaces not wiped down. Overall a convenient place to stay but in need of modernisation which I think is a possibility in the future.

Had a great stay in Moxy Essen from 11/06/2023 – 14/06/2023. I was travelling around the Rhine Ruhr region with my friend (and we both have Marriott Gold elite status from staying in a Marriott for university). This hotel was in a great location right next to the HBF station in Essen and was clean and modern. The bar had a good vibe and we had free drinks on arrival. We used points for this stay, and the way that the points worked out meant that we had 2 different bookings over 3 nights, but this was not an issue and we managed to get the same room for the duration of our stay (we even got a bonus welcome drink for it)! I’m probably not going to do the hotel justice here, but it was a well laid out and stylish hotel with decent sized rooms. We had a twin room to share and the staff made extra effort so that we were on the quieter side of the building. We initially checked into the hotel at approximately 2pm, but decided to spend the afternoon in Wuppertal. When we arrived back on the first night. I had a shower, and there was no shampoo. No big deal, but I ended up going down to reception to ask for some. The man couldn’t find any shampoo, but about half an hour later, some appeared, I think he probably brought I from the shop as it wasn’t in the normal bright pink Moxy bottle, but it was really nice of him to make the effort. That day, the weather hit 32 degrees and whilst we were waiting for the shampoo, we tried to work out how the air conditioning worked. Between me and my friend that I was travelling with, we couldn’t work it out, so we asked the employee. However, between the 3 of us and Google we could not work it out. Anyway, I think we were the only people in the hotel that night as this was approximately midnight local time, and I think we went in every room in the corridor. To try and find one with working air con. All of them were empty! We eventually found one that wasn’t like a sauna and packed our stuff and moved. The employee was genuinely the nicest and most helpful employee I think I have ever seen in a hotel, very apologetic, but also very sociable. It was really nice to meet him as he was so happy to help. Unfortunately I didn’t get his name, but he had a ponytail I think and said he was Turkish. I think he will know who we are when he reads this! I saw him off duty in the bar the next night and thanked him. We even got 2 free breakfasts out of this!! The breakfast was good, though probably not worth the price we were told when we booked (I think it was about 15 euros but can’t remember as I have stayed in about 5 hotels in the past week and they have all rolled into one a bit). There was a few cooked items (Bacon & Scrambled Egg) and a few cold/ cereal items, but not loads. I probably wouldn’t recommend getting breakfast as all the Moxys allow a free coffee/ juice in the morning and a pastry, which is a nice touch. Utente di sedie a rotelle. Architektura moderna. Ad esempio, camera personalizzata e bagno per disabili. I receptionisti parlavano molto bene inglese. Parcheggio gratuito e riservato proprio davanti all'hotel. Buffet di colazione ampiamente. Mia moglie ha chiesto se non poteva avere una materassi “mezza” (dolori alla schiena) e si è portato una “materassi di copertura” . (Grazie) C'è un bar che sembra non attirare molto pubblico. E inoltre non sembra che sia una festa immediata. Wi-Fi eccellente e gratuito. Aria condizionata e molto tranquilla....Molto tempo fa abbiamo trovato un'altra copia del Nuovo Testamento in una stanza d'albergo...E non poteva davvero avere un piccolo frigo in camera ? 4 stelle e 135 euro/notte. L'hotel ha anche una politica sociale. Alcuni lavoratori sono persone disabili. Nell'ambiente non c'è certo niente che possa essere collegato alla vita di ”infanzia”. Devi andare al centro città ...10 minuti di auto (senza file) Ritorna al Kennedyplatz...

Quando ci siamo reclutati, un agente ci ha reclutati mentre gli altri due ci guardavano come se fossimo alieni. Uno di loro aveva un sorriso sul viso durante il check-in, volevo chiedere cosa pensava fosse così divertente con noi di andare in hotel, ma non volevo rovinare la serata. Sappiamo che siamo non europei, molto poco benvenuti e poco professionisti, e suggerisco di formare la diversità culturale. I letti erano disgustosi, le piccole strisce di capelli in tutto il foglio, il più disgustoso era la tintura di peli sulle foglie, e il letto profumava come un peliccio. Era previsto che non fumasse, ma qualcuno fumava in camera o i sistemi di isolamento/ventilazione avevano bisogno di più lavoro. Non volevo affrontare il personale di servizio frontale non professionale, così ho sofferto attraverso l'impurità e solo mettere 2 asciugamani sul tappeto solo per sentire di agio dormire, anche se eravamo solo lì per una notte...Grazie a Dio non ho prenotato per più tempo. L'unico positivo è stato il colazione, è stato sufficiente per un soggiorno di notte.

Viel Schatten, wenig Licht es gibt in diesem Hotel zwei verschiedene Kategorien: Standard und Superior wir hatten Superior gebucht. Am Samstag bei Anreise wurden wir sofort gebeten, die Zimmerrechnung zu bezahlen. Das ist ungewöhnlich, aber ok. Als wir dann das Zimmer betraten, stellen wir fest, dass wir eine falsche Kategorie bekommen hatten. Also zurück zur Rezeption. Die junge Dame war völlig überfordert und bestätigte, dass wir ein Standardzimmer bekommen hatten und kein Superior. Sie holte sich Hilfe bei Herrn F. Welche Funktion er hat, wissen wir nicht. er hat sich nicht vorgestellt. Allerdings schaute er in den Computer und sagte, dass er jetzt am Samstag Abend nichts mehr tun könne, das Hotel sei ausgebucht. Als Kompensation und Entschädigung würde er uns für den folgenden Morgen zum Frühstück einladen, und ein Zimmerwechsel am nächsten Tag. Mehr könne er für uns nicht tun. Damit war das Gespräch für ihn beendet und wandte sich wieder seiner Restaurantkasse zu. Nach unserer Auffassung ist dieses Verhalten Betrug. Er hatte unser Geld schon kassiert. Für 2 Nächte Superior Zimmer! Am nächsten Morgen sprachen wir dann mit einer netten Kollegin an der Rezeption. Frau M. war im Gegensatz zu ihrem Kollegen kompetent und handlungswillig. Sie organisierte den Zimmerwechsel, erstattete den zuviel bezahlten Superioraufschlag und eine Kompensation für die gestörte Nachtruhe. Der Unterschied zwischen Standard und Superior ist die Lage: Hauptverkehrsstrasse und Innenhof. und wir hatten ausdrücklich Innenhof bestellt. Nach der positiven Überraschung an der Rezeption der zweite Schock: das Frühstück. Das Hotel wird durch die Lage zum Musical vornehmlich von Busgruppen frequentiert. Wir hatten uns schon erst zu 10 Uhr für das Frühstück vorbereitett, um dem Ansturm der Busgruppen aus dem Weg zu gehen. Aber es war eine Katastrophe! Die drei Servicekräfte waren heillos überfordert. Schlachtfeld trifft es wohl am Besten. und keiner der Mitarbeiter war in der Lage etwas Ordnung in das Chaos zu bringen. Wenn Sie irgendwie können, suchen Sie sich ein anderes Hotel! Und wenn Sie es schon nicht vermeiden können, dann buchen Sie unbedingt Superior. Erstens ist an Schlaf bei Zimmern der Standardkategorie zur Strassenseite nicht zu denken und zweitens finden Sie dort eine Einrichtung, die wohl noch aus dem 70er Jahren stammt. Die Superiorzimmer sind zur ruhigen Hofseite und sehen aus, als wenn sie in den 90er Jahren mal renoviert wurden. (auch schon 30 Jahre her....) Selbst die Nähe zum Musicaltheater macht es nicht erträglicher. Das Musical selbst ist auch nach 30 Jahren immer noch eine Reise wert!
