Prima Standort, um Essen zu erkunden - Folkwang-Museum, Ausgehmeile Rü und die Innenstadt in Laufweite, und andere Destinationen gut mit den Öffis zu erreichen. Praktisch: Parkplätze für 14 Euro/Tag direkt am Haus. Zimmer okay, vielleicht ein bisschen bemüht hip, aber das kann ja altersbedingte Geschmackssache sein. Extrapunkte für das supernette, superfixe, super engagierte Team am Empfang!

Had a great stay in Moxy Essen from 11/06/2023 – 14/06/2023. I was travelling around the Rhine Ruhr region with my friend (and we both have Marriott Gold elite status from staying in a Marriott for university). This hotel was in a great location right next to the HBF station in Essen and was clean and modern. The bar had a good vibe and we had free drinks on arrival. We used points for this stay, and the way that the points worked out meant that we had 2 different bookings over 3 nights, but this was not an issue and we managed to get the same room for the duration of our stay (we even got a bonus welcome drink for it)! I’m probably not going to do the hotel justice here, but it was a well laid out and stylish hotel with decent sized rooms. We had a twin room to share and the staff made extra effort so that we were on the quieter side of the building. We initially checked into the hotel at approximately 2pm, but decided to spend the afternoon in Wuppertal. When we arrived back on the first night. I had a shower, and there was no shampoo. No big deal, but I ended up going down to reception to ask for some. The man couldn’t find any shampoo, but about half an hour later, some appeared, I think he probably brought I from the shop as it wasn’t in the normal bright pink Moxy bottle, but it was really nice of him to make the effort. That day, the weather hit 32 degrees and whilst we were waiting for the shampoo, we tried to work out how the air conditioning worked. Between me and my friend that I was travelling with, we couldn’t work it out, so we asked the employee. However, between the 3 of us and Google we could not work it out. Anyway, I think we were the only people in the hotel that night as this was approximately midnight local time, and I think we went in every room in the corridor. To try and find one with working air con. All of them were empty! We eventually found one that wasn’t like a sauna and packed our stuff and moved. The employee was genuinely the nicest and most helpful employee I think I have ever seen in a hotel, very apologetic, but also very sociable. It was really nice to meet him as he was so happy to help. Unfortunately I didn’t get his name, but he had a ponytail I think and said he was Turkish. I think he will know who we are when he reads this! I saw him off duty in the bar the next night and thanked him. We even got 2 free breakfasts out of this!! The breakfast was good, though probably not worth the price we were told when we booked (I think it was about 15 euros but can’t remember as I have stayed in about 5 hotels in the past week and they have all rolled into one a bit). There was a few cooked items (Bacon & Scrambled Egg) and a few cold/ cereal items, but not loads. I probably wouldn’t recommend getting breakfast as all the Moxys allow a free coffee/ juice in the morning and a pastry, which is a nice touch. L'edificio è ben arredata, sembra un centro di allevamento. L'area di entrata è depressa, non si tratta di mobili o altri oggetti attraenti che forniscono all'ospite solo minimamente l'impressione e la sensazione di essere in un hotel. Il materasso (almeno nella mia stanza) è finito, l'appartamento è piuttosto modesto. Il bagno e la stanza erano puliti. Le pareti sono luminose e devo dire che i vicini hanno avuto una serata o una notte soddisfacente. Il prezzo di 70€ per una notte a due è piuttosto troppo alto per questo ”hotel” ma le esperienze costano soldi.

The hotel is just a few minutes from the Philharmonie U-Bahn station or just a 15 minute walk from the main station and hence very nicely located. The staff are very professional and gave me a good welcome. The room was very well-kept and for the price, a good size. Excellent WiFi coverage at good connectivity speeds. Overall, a very nice stay in a very nice hotel.

La media di Valk è solo quella di Sheraton. Con il nome di questo hotel, si aspetta un hotel di alta classe (sicuramente a prezzo) ricevimento amichevole e aiutato alla ricezione e dopo l'iscrizione come le valigie rimosse dalla macchina che era nella garage sotto l'hotel. E 'stato speciale che si deve pagare per parcheggiare in un hotel. In particolare con i prezzi dell'hotel attuale, questo può essere gratuito e non si sente ospite. La stanza era molto grande (ma un posto per la valigia non c'era quindi solo sul pavimento. In questo momento moderno si aspetta di poter collegare un portatile, Chrome cast o qualsiasi cosa a una TV, tuttavia, questo era così vicino al loro sistema che c'era Non era possibile. Quando si entra alle 10:00 si aspetta che i cestini di pane siano ancora riempiti, non era il caso immediatamente. Il giorno 2 era ancora più strano. Abbiamo continuato a camminare perché nessuno era qui, ma ci ha quasi messo una cameriera, ha messo una foglia con una penna in mano e ha chiamato a riempire qualcosa, e questo doveva essere il mio nome, la mia stanza e la mia firma, per cui non sappiamo ancora perché. Ma ancora più strano e non come dovrebbe essere messo il foglio, ma non c'era nessuno che l'avesse preso direttamente e quindi c'era un nome e una firma così per prendere! E ancora due piccoli panini speciali e solo quando ci siamo alzati per andarcene, apparve qualche nuovo croissant. Tutto insieme non più di un hotel medio costoso che non avevo aspettato da un hotel con questo nome.

Quando ci siamo reclutati, un agente ci ha reclutati mentre gli altri due ci guardavano come se fossimo alieni. Uno di loro aveva un sorriso sul viso durante il check-in, volevo chiedere cosa pensava fosse così divertente con noi di andare in hotel, ma non volevo rovinare la serata. Sappiamo che siamo non europei, molto poco benvenuti e poco professionisti, e suggerisco di formare la diversità culturale. I letti erano disgustosi, le piccole strisce di capelli in tutto il foglio, il più disgustoso era la tintura di peli sulle foglie, e il letto profumava come un peliccio. Era previsto che non fumasse, ma qualcuno fumava in camera o i sistemi di isolamento/ventilazione avevano bisogno di più lavoro. Non volevo affrontare il personale di servizio frontale non professionale, così ho sofferto attraverso l'impurità e solo mettere 2 asciugamani sul tappeto solo per sentire di agio dormire, anche se eravamo solo lì per una notte...Grazie a Dio non ho prenotato per più tempo. L'unico positivo è stato il colazione, è stato sufficiente per un soggiorno di notte.

I wanted to book my third visit to this hotel Unfortunately I contacted them by phone and by mail to make a booking. But... The first time by phone they asked me to call another time as they were busy. The second time, the second day, they told me that they already told me that they are busy to take my reservation and I need to send my request by mail. The mail was not answered So the third day I called and they told me that they will check my email when they are less busy. I didn't want to bother them further as they most probably are still busy doing anything else than taking care of their customers. Bella nuova hotel. Il personale (e il cane) era grande. Il riscaldamento nel nuovo edificio sembra essere un problema. Il colazione era grande, anche la stanza.
