Hotel in zona Kleingartenverein am Hellweg, Essen

Nice staff, clean rooms. The hotel asks for 15€/night parking fee. In front of the hotel there is a small parking 12€/24 hours. I parked on the street, there is enough space beginning 6-7pm. Street park cimes with a fee during the day 10am-8pm

La media di Valk è solo quella di Sheraton. Con il nome di questo hotel, si aspetta un hotel di alta classe (sicuramente a prezzo) ricevimento amichevole e aiutato alla ricezione e dopo l'iscrizione come le valigie rimosse dalla macchina che era nella garage sotto l'hotel. E 'stato speciale che si deve pagare per parcheggiare in un hotel. In particolare con i prezzi dell'hotel attuale, questo può essere gratuito e non si sente ospite. La stanza era molto grande (ma un posto per la valigia non c'era quindi solo sul pavimento. Quando si entra alle 10:00 si aspetta che i cestini di pane siano ancora riempiti, non era il caso immediatamente. Il giorno 2 era ancora più strano. Abbiamo continuato a camminare perché nessuno era qui, ma ci ha quasi messo una cameriera, ha messo una foglia con una penna in mano e ha chiamato a riempire qualcosa, e questo doveva essere il mio nome, la mia stanza e la mia firma, per cui non sappiamo ancora perché. Ma ancora più strano e non come dovrebbe essere messo il foglio, ma non c'era nessuno che l'avesse preso direttamente e quindi c'era un nome e una firma così per prendere! E ancora due piccoli panini speciali e solo quando ci siamo alzati per andarcene, apparve qualche nuovo croissant. Tutto insieme non più di un hotel medio costoso che non avevo aspettato da un hotel con questo nome.

Wow. What a trip that was to the Essen Spiel convention. And what an excellent hotel we have had the luck of booking a room into. Everything was top notch. We were given a room on the second floor, right across the elevator, in room 226. That was indeed super convenient, since for soundproofing, the windows were always shut, and I'm a smoker, so it made my outside trip to the smoking area easy. Everything in the room was where it should be. Plenty of sockets to plug our electronics in, a desk to put our convention stuff on and make our plans for the following day. Water pressure was spot on in the shower, all-in-one soap was naturally provided in a dispenser and filled daily. Room cleaning was done super meticulously in the morning and the cleaning people were nice and attentive when we happened to stumble upon them. All the staff we ran across were super nice and kind, even though we were always bugging them with annoying and trivial matters. The evening shift at the bar and reception really tried their best to satisfy our bothering demands. Hats off to them for putting up with us. I feel that we may have indeed tested their patience's limits. Despite all our best - or worst - but unintended in honesty - efforts to piss them off, they didn't even lose their smile. Great job, everyone! The cherry on top was the hotel's decision to open up a big room full of tables and chairs for the Spiel attendees to pass the night once the exhibition day was over. Really thoughtful and it's one of those small details that win people over. I'm looking forward to returning to the convention next year, and I'm sure I will be booking a room in this hotel alongside my plane and convention tickets. Keep it up, GHOTEL!

I stayed here for a month whilst working in Essen. Receptionist friendly helpful and spoke excellent English. I was upgraded to an executive room, which was dated but clean and spacious and included a fridge. I was thankful for the air conditioning as the weather was hot at the time of my stay but would have preferred a sheet instead of the thick quilt. Breakfast was the standard offering but a rip off at €21 - you get a far better and cheaper breakfast at similar hotels. There’s a bar and an evening menu but this wasn’t always open however when it was the barman was great to have a chat with and get some local knowledge. There’s power sockets by the bedsides and WiFi was good. Location is good being just a 5 min walk to the underwhelming and disappointing city centre. It’s also only a 5 min walk to the metro which offers great value and for a fee of €9, gets you anywhere, although this was during a summer promotion. As a resident you get access to a gym across the road. The house keeping was at times quite poor with surfaces not wiped down. Overall a convenient place to stay but in need of modernisation which I think is a possibility in the future.

L'edificio è ben arredata, sembra un centro di allevamento. L'area di entrata è depressa, non si tratta di mobili o altri oggetti attraenti che forniscono all'ospite solo minimamente l'impressione e la sensazione di essere in un hotel. Il materasso (almeno nella mia stanza) è finito, l'appartamento è piuttosto modesto. Il bagno e la stanza erano puliti. Le pareti sono luminose e devo dire che i vicini hanno avuto una serata o una notte soddisfacente. Il prezzo di 70€ per una notte a due è piuttosto troppo alto per questo ”hotel” ma le esperienze costano soldi.

Prima Standort, um Essen zu erkunden - Folkwang-Museum, Ausgehmeile Rü und die Innenstadt in Laufweite, und andere Destinationen gut mit den Öffis zu erreichen. Praktisch: Parkplätze für 14 Euro/Tag direkt am Haus. Zimmer okay, vielleicht ein bisschen bemüht hip, aber das kann ja altersbedingte Geschmackssache sein. Extrapunkte für das supernette, superfixe, super engagierte Team am Empfang!

Molto pulite, camere belle e comode mobili, bagno confortevole con doccia, personale bello, un grande plus per parcheggio gratuito in garage, posizione vicino ai negozi, colazione può essere mangiato vicino alla porta in una bella pasticceria

Bello hotel. La signora alla ricezione/bar era molto amichevole e lavorava molto duro. Il lobby è bello con alcuni sedie e divano confortevoli. Le camere sono semplici, ma pulite e davvero tranquille. La doccia aveva una decente pressione idrica. La colazione era deliziosa, una buona varietà di cibo.

Das Procedere, ausschließlich digital und personallos, ist gewöhnungsbedürftig und eigentlich nicht „mein Ding“, aber dafür bekommt man für wenig Geld ein hübsches Zimmer. Die Suite im 4. Stock war groß, sauber, gut und modern eingerichtet und trotz der Lage mitten im Zentrum sehr ruhig. Lediglich zwei Steckdosen funktionierten nicht und der Wasserabfluß im Waschbecken war beinahe komplett verstopft. Normalerweise würde man das ja an der Rezeption melden, aber die war ja leider nicht vorhanden.
