Hotel in zona St. Albin, Ermatingen

This hotel has been is renovated and feels like a boutique hotel in a big city. Great modern design, decor and well-appointed rooms. At 3 stars, it exceeded expectations and was better than hotels with a 4-star rating. The hotel is situated within a Catholic monastery and is owned by nuns as a way to generate income. The hotel is run by secular management and includes conference facilities. My room was spacious, comfortable and had a private balcony. The TV was huge and modern, although no English channels were available. The bed had USB outlets at the nightstand, which was a life savor since I lost my electrical outlet power adaptor. Breakfast was phenomenal. A very extensive buffet with something for everyone’s food preferences. Dinner was also a buffet. The food quality at dinner wasn’t as good as breakfast, in my opinion. But the wine selection was sufficient and the prices cheap. If I had one suggestion it would be to have a properly translated welcome letter in English and French. I recognize 90% of guests are probably German-speaking but it would be helpful if all of the information was available because not every staff member can speak English. The only real complaints I have are the horrendous parking situation and the lack of a gym. In terms of the gym, the hotel is hosting business conferences. It would be nice if there was a small gym with treadmills and other basic fitness equipment. Thankfully, there is a temporary parking section at the entrance to the hotel. Otherwise, it is a little bit of a walk with luggage. The parking is an issue for anyone with bags or during bad weather. Besides those two complaints, anything else is a problem with the 3-star and 4-star hotels in Germany and not this hotel. It’s a problem I’ve only encountered in Germany: No coffeemaker or tea pot in room. You can’t get coffee until breakfast at 7 a.m. Only 1 or 2 pillows, compared to the 4 pillows that most hotels outside Germany feature. No lotion or other toiletries in bathroom of room. Bar soap replaced with liquid soap, which is cheaper but not as sanitary because dispensers can spread diseases. If I was in the Constance area, I would not hesitate to stay at this hotel again. I liked the religious connection and thought it was great in terms of value for money. With a few changes, it would be a superb 4-star hotel. Right now, they have a 4-star product, but more of a guesthouse/B&B standard.

Abbiamo soggiornato quattro notti. La piccola stanza non è sorpresa come è stato menzionato sul sito web. La stanza era pulita, il letto un po' duro ma comodo, pulita e il wifi era veloce. Bagno piccolo ma adeguato. La caratteristica comune con altri Hampton Inn è la mancanza di spazio di tavolo. Ci sono uno dei due punti nella stanza dove si può mettere un tavolo aperto con casse. Ciò renderebbe più conveniente un soggiorno di più giorni. Il colazione era buono con frutta fresca, uova e cibo è stato ripulito regolarmente. Il biglietto gratuito per il trasporto pubblico su autobus e treno fino a Engen. Bus 6 della città davanti all'hotel ma camminare verso la città lungo il fiume era piacevole. Alcuni ristoranti e negozi a piedi. Rimanere qui ancora

Wir haben das Hotel über einen Jochen Schweizer Gutschein gebucht, da wir mit dem Fahrrad den Bodensee erkunden wollten. Der Preis war höher als der Gutschein ausgewiesen hat, dies war uns aber vorher bekannt. Vom Hotel haben wir nicht viel erwartet, war aber schlimmer als befürchtet. Lage ist direkt an der Straße neben einer Tankstelle. Bei Ankunft haben wir hinter dem Haus geparkt und das Gepäck dann durch die Küche getragen… Die Zimmereinrichtung ist sehr in die Jahre gekommen. Die Matratze war total durchgelegen. Durch die Lage direkt an Kreisverkehr der Straße war an Schlaf nicht zu denken, da wegen nicht vorhandener Klimaanlage die Balkontüre offen bleiben musste. Die Kühlschranktüre war offen, total vereist und ließ sich dann nur mit viel Nachdruck schließen lassen. Das Essen in der Pizzeria war einfach, aber uns hat es geschmeckt. Vom Frühstück darf auch nicht viel erwartet werden, der Kaffee aber gut. Leider sehr viele Fliegen. Laut Beschreibung sollten auch gesicherte Einstellplätze für Fahrräder und Motorräder vorhanden sein. Haben wir nicht entdecken können… Was aber überhaupt nicht geht: - In der Beschreibung steht, dass Parkplätze kostenlos zur Verfügung stehen. Uns wurden aber pro Tag 10.- € berechnet. Nachfrage erfolglos. - In der Reservierung stehen CHF 2,50 Kurtaxe pro Person und Tag. Diesen Betrag steht auch auf der Seite der Tourismusbehörde. Uns wurde aber der doppelte Betrag berechnet. Resultat: Wir werden das Hotel künftig meiden. Wie dieses Haus 4 Sterne bekommen kann, ist mir ein Rätsel!

Top posizione per le escursioni con la velo direzione costanza, pietra sul Reno o semplicemente in cornerli Badi. Jugi è a pochi minuti dal lago di terra, anche a piedi ben raggiungibile. Personale è amichevole e preconveniente. Delizio buffet per colazione. Parcheggio per il fine settimana gratis. Canu noleggio e barbecue in loco.

Wir waren hier zu sechst in 3 Doppelzimmern auf einer Ruderwanderfahrt. Der Preis für die Zimmer war gut. Die Zimmer sind sehr eng mit wenig Platz - z.B nur 1qm Platz neben den Betten. Das Frühstück ist ok. Die Betten muss man selbst abziehen.
