Hotel in zona Ehrtal Obelisk, Erfurt

We stayed in this hotel on two separate nights bookending a trip to Frankfurt. This hotel is not - in our experience - typical of the Mercure brand. Far too often Mercure's are in good locations but somewhat rundown, tired and in need of attention. This is quite the opposite. It appears to have been wholly refurbished in the last five years, it is looked after. The hotel is conveniently situated near to both the old town and the main, new shopping area, both being no more than five minutes walk away. It is a ten to fifteen minute walk from the railway station or (for us) a €10 taxi ride. There is paid for car parking if required. This is a deceptively large hotel, the short frontage belies the fact that it has 141 rooms. The hotel stretches back from its frontage - we felt it was long and not very wide. It is spread over four floors and possibly an attic. We were on the fourth floor for our first visit and on the first floor for the second. Entry into the hotel from the street leads to a small reception area with ottoman seating. Screened from reception is a small bar and another soft seating area. The bar had elusive opening times - but seemed not to operate before 18:00 hours. Service was good. There is a restaurant that is not the breakfast room but that was not open during our stay with no sign of opening on the horizon. All public areas were clean, tidy and well maintained, albeit with a Alpine overtone! Access to the upper floors is via dedicated lifts or stairs depending upon the location of the room, with some rooms there is quite a walk to the lift. There is a small garden and paved area with seating. We saw no specific provision for disabled access but believe that the hotel is easy enough to negotiate. There is a separate breakfast room which works very well albeit it is not large. It is at the furthest end of the hotel from reception and bypasses some of the meeting rooms. Whilst these rooms were used during our stays we experienced no difficulties. We took breakfast early and the restaurant was never full or cramped. Breakfast is generous but prettty standard continental fare. Our first room (413) was a standard room and disappointing although it was clean and well cared for. Our second room however (136) was an upgrade and provided exceptional space and comfort for a reasonable price. Had we been able to satisfactorily understand the room descriptions and attributes on the website a room such as 136 would have been our preference. It had a large and comfortable double bed, a small seating area with table, a separate desk along with the usual accessories of a safe, TV, wifi etc. We didn't try the TV but everything else worked. There is no aircon but there is very effective radiator heating. We can imagine that opening the windows for some rooms would produce a great deal of street noise, but both our rooms were towards the rear of the hotel and quiet. L'hotel è situato nel centro della stazione ferroviaria e si trova in una buona struttura con 200 camere, quando si sta percorrendo con un gruppo. Il centro della città è a piedi in 15 minuti. La colazione è anche abbastanza buona per un hotel così grande. La selezione è ampia. La qualità è assolutamente ok. Tuttavia, nella sala colazione è molto turbolente. Ci sono diverse stazioni di buffet e tutti corrono da e da. Le camere e i bagni sono molto piccole. Non c'è quasi spazio per la valigia. A meno che non si lo imballa completamente e lo spinga sotto il letto. Per questo, la superficie di regola è troppo piccola ... Il concetto di colore - con lavastoviglie, ad esempio, colore lila - è un po' abituato. In realtà non ho nulla contro essere insultato e mi sono sorpreso anche prima delle critiche che hanno fatto al riguardo, ma purtroppo il doppio non è così gentile qui, ma mi ha colpito da sopra e da sotto e insegnante. Il parcheggio dell'hotel è costoso, e ci sono alternative più economiche che non sono lontane.

Das Beste ist die verkehrsgünstige Lage, die inkludierte Minibar und das Frühstück - aber das ist auch schon alles. Die Sauberkeit im Hotel ist nicht gegeben - Zwiebelreste und Brösel im Flur, verschmierte Flächen im Aufzug, Kronkorken vom Vorgänger im Zimmer. Bei der Ankunft interessierte vor allem, dass von uns alles vorab bezahlt wurde, kein Hinweis, dass wir vor dem Hotel das Gepäck ausladen können obwohl es in Strömen regnete. Keine Garage nur ein Parkplatz ca. 100 m entfernt mit Gepäck über Stufen - kein barrierefreier Parkplatz. Anfragen des Hotels nur in Englischer Sprache. Sauna müsste man 24 Std. im voraus buchen - Im Zimmer sehr wenig Ablagefläche und nur ein winziges Fenster das nur gekippt werden kann. Die Pflegemittel von Rituals sind sehr gut. Die Betten sind sehr hart, für eine Nacht genügen die Handtücher. Das Personal ist sehr unterschiedlich, sehr freundlich sind die Mitarbeiter des Restaurants, die Dame bei unserer Ankunft war unmotiviert bis gelangweilt. Wenn ich als Deutsche ein Hotel in Deutschland buche, dann möchte ich auch den Pre check inn und die hoteleigene Bewertung in deutscher Sprache ausfüllen und nicht in englischer Sprache. Alles in allem ist das Hotel mit dem Übernachtungspreis überteuert, zumal der Service unglaublich eingeschränkt ist. Wir werden uns nicht noch einmal für dieses Hotel in Erfurt entscheiden.

Tre giorni eravamo all'hotel White Swan. Camere erano pulite, letti buoni. A seguito di un'ulteriore cuscino. La signora alla reception era molto gentile. Punti di declino: Se si arrivasse all'hotel dopo un lungo giorno, purtroppo non si poteva più bere. E questo sarebbe stato così bello sulla bella terrazza! Il ristorante è probabilmente chiuso per sempre, che dovrebbe essere comunicato sulla homepage. La colazione era sufficiente, ma la piccola piastra di salsa con salsa o salsa tagliata in piccoli pezzi era imappetibile e piuttosto debole. Quando si chiedeva un po' di premio, per esempio, di salamiwurst (4 a.m. mini-spazzole erano sul disco!!), si chiedeva quanto voleva e lo si portava su una tavola. Forse eravamo gli ultimi ospiti del colazione alle 9:00, ma si può aspettare una piastra di salsa fresca e anche un prezzo incondizionato. Anche per i toast disci, ho dovuto chiedere due volte. di cui sono stati portati anche 2 pezzi. In generale, trovo il rapporto di prezzo sbagliato. In un hotel si aspetta un servizio di giro. Almeno un bar per le bevande di sera. Il titolo Hotel Garni o pensione sarebbe più appropriato per questa casa.

L' albergo è ottimo da tutti i punti di vista: posizione, pulizia, attenzione e gentilezza del personale. L' ambiente è sempre tranquillo, anche quando gli ospiti sono molti. La nostra stanz era ampia, accogliente e ben strutturata. Ho dato solo 4 punti invece di cinque perchè durante il nostro soggiorno, che comprendeva due pernottamenti, gli asciugamani del bagno non sono stati cambiati e li abbiamo quindi ritrovati bagnati come li avevamo lasciati. Trovo che in un albergo di questo livello tale scelta, come quella di proporre al cliente di non rifare la stanza in cambio di un minuscolo bonus, siano assurde. Mi sbaglierò, ma temo che in questo modo l'ambiente guadagni molto meno della proprietà dell' hotel. Tornando agli aspetti positivi aggiungo che la colazione era principesca e al ristorante si mangia altrettanto bene.

Questo hotel è davvero speciale da qualche parte. Dalla partenza abbiamo sperimentato un servizio estremamente professionale e amichevole. La bella giovane donna alla ricezione, il barman sorridente, amichevole e la donna al colazione erano particolarmente gentile e utile.Vorrei aver preso nota dei loro nomi. Il nostro hotel è molto bello, è stato ben mantenuto e si trova sul scenico Marktplatz nel cuore di Weimar. Il fuoco ricorda un bel colazione sulla loro terrazza esterna! Trattatevi e restate lì.

Tutto è molto nuovo e pulito. Le camere sono molto grandi e hanno anche una piccola cottura con asciugamani completi e vetri di alta qualità. Il bagno è spazioso e molto individuale e ben arredate; tutto funziona senza problemi. Le letti e le cuscinetti sono molto buoni. La colazione è dolcemente preparata, ci sono caffè bruciato e dalla macchina. Piccolo suggerimento di miglioramento: croissants e/o dolce torta sarebbero bellissimi. Ma tutto in generale è un soggiorno molto piacevole.
