Hotel in zona Grimston's Oak, Epping Forest District

La camera e il bagno erano grandi e abbastanza moderne, ma i dettagli come i binari e il portatoio del bagno (non esistente) e uno specchio a dimensioni piene nel dormitorio (solo una piccola) erano stati ignorati e sarebbe stato bello. Le toilette in bagno sono state annunciate con una bottiglia di lavaggio a mano vuota sul bacino e una bottiglia di gel di doccia vuota nel bagno. Una cucina privata era annunciata come inclusa, non si sa cosa intendevano da privati, perché qualcuno la usava (non l'ho fatto), forse volevano dire che le persone non potevano semplicemente camminare per la strada e usarla. All’arrivo, la stanza e il bagno non erano troppo puliti e non c’era nessuna pulizia durante il mio soggiorno. La stanza era sulla strada principale e il rumore del traffico si è proseguito fino a tardi e si è ripreso molto presto la mattina. Veramente difficile da dormire. We always stay at the Lion & Key when we visit London and have been fortunate enough to stay here again in October, December, and also January for my husbands 80th birthday. This really is the ”Savoy” of the small hotels in London and we always know without fail, we will have the most perfect stay. All the staff genuinely care about their guests having the best experience and you cannot fault the care and attention to detail that this hotel takes to ensure an excellent customer experience. They have a great team of which we would like to thank Giorgio, Kanti and Stephania for making all our visits a home away from home. The rooms and also public areas in the hotel are kept pristinely clean and are bright and cheerful. I love the attention to detail this hotel has even with the smallest thing. i.e. the shower cap in the bathroom also has a small hairband in the box ,which is excellent if you have long hair and can’t find your own! The beds are also extremely comfortable and we both always have an excellent night sleep. We love the open kitchen where you can see all the food being freshly prepared and cooked to order. They are very generous with their breakfast time which doesn’t end until 12 o’clock lunchtime. The choice and range that they offer in their restaurant, regardless of breakfast or main meals throughout the day would accommodate even the most fussiest eaters, which I am, but even I am extremely spoilt for choice as the breakfast menu is so comprehensive. The quality of the ingredients used in the restaurant is first class and so is the time and care in presentation which also reflects the pride that they take. We can honestly say that the breakfast’s we have at the L&K are the most tastiest, freshest, consistently perfect breakfast’s we have ever had and far exceed the quality that we have experienced over the years in 4 & 5 star hotels. To be honest, we often wonder how they continuously provide such care and attention to detail for the customer, even more so since Covid as many many hotels and restaurants seem to still use this as an excuse for a less than perfect service or menu range. We must’ve had over 100 of breakfasts since we have been coming here in 2018 and the eggs are always perfectly cooked with a lovely orange yolk, regardless of whether it’s a normal full English breakfast, or my husbands favorite the Egg Royale. We very rarely eat sausages or bacon at home, but the quality and taste of the ones here are amazing, so we always, always enjoy our breakfast which set us up for exploring all day. The transport links to this hotel are excellent as well. There are four buses that go past the hotel to Leyton underground, one of which is running 24 hours and they seem to come by every few minutes. Stratford is only four stops from Leyton so excellent connections for overground, DLR, O2 etc. Liverpool Street is the next stop along for even more connections so the location we find is a great asset to wherever we

Ho soggiornato per 3 notti ed è un bel posto in cui soggiornare. Sono rimasto sorpreso dal fatto che non servissero la parte calda della colazione inglese, quindi ho dovuto accontentarmi di pane tostato, prosciutto, formaggio e tacchino. Buona posizione. L'hotel è situato proprio accanto a Tesco e alla fermata dell'autobus per la stazione ferroviaria di Barking. Anche il servizio di pulizia della camera era eccezionale. Il riscaldamento nella mia stanza potrebbe fare di meglio. A volte non sentivo alcun calore. Nel complesso, lo consiglio vivamente per un viaggio economico.

Da quando sono arrivato, mi sono stato dato il trattamento VIP. Tutto il personale mi ha aiutato a prendere la procedura di parcheggio corretta mentre ero in ritardo. Il pasto era un corso di cinque gradini che meritava una Michelin Star, a un prezzo incredibilmente competitivo. Avrei dovuto fotografare almeno il corso principale, iniziatore e deserto. Molto scusate. La sala funzionale, quando ne penso ora, era un po' sul lato della miseria, ma non era notabile il giorno a causa della grande compagnia con cui ero e della meravigliosa banda che ci ha divertiti. La zona del ristorante era più accogliente e intima, quindi ignorare la camera funebre. L'intero hotel era immacolato e spazioso con grandi camere e molti posti di parcheggio. Desidero che la gente si diverta come me.

Grande hotel immobilizzato nel campo a una distanza ragionevole da Stanstead- piscina è buona come la nuova stanza a vapore - jacuzzi potrebbe riscaldare

My wife and I had an amazing night away with some friends. Lovely warm welcome at reception and everything about the hotel was clearly explained. Our room was very comfortable and spotlessly clean with high ceilings a large bathroom. The whole place has a lovely chilled vibe and the downstairs area has recently had a refurbishment and is stunning and even though they were very busy as they had a wedding on the service we received from all the staff was excellent they were all so friendly. We all had a lovely afternoon on the outside terrace sipping cocktails, we also ordered a few small plates of food from the menu which were also very tasty. We had dinner in the Garden room restaurant and it was absolutely amazing, really well presented and cooked to perfection and most importantly tasted delicious. Special thanks to Ilayja our waitress who was so lovely and was so attentive and friendly a real asset to the hotel. We must also mention Erhan the general manager who was running the restaurant who from the minute we sat down was an absolute gentleman. Thank you for making our evening special. After dinner we went and had a drink in the lovely bar before retreating to our room where we had a great nights sleep. Breakfast is buffet style and was also delicious with plenty of choice. So overall we would highly recommend Down Hall and will definitely be returning.

Questo è un ottimo hotel aeroportuale. Devi prendere un bus navetta dell'hotel che dovrai pagare. La camera era nuova, spaziosa e pulita. La colazione era a buffet con opzioni sia continentali che inglesi complete. La temperatura della stanza era completamente automatica e regolabile. C'è una palestra ma era in manutenzione quando ero lì. La doccia era abbastanza potente con asciugamani puliti, docciaschiuma e lozioni per il corpo fornite. Inoltre ho trovato la stanza molto silenziosa e ben isolata. Nel complesso, un buon hotel per un breve soggiorno.
