Hotel in zona Eglise Notre-Dame, Epernay

Alcuni di questi commenti mi hanno impedito di rimanere qui, così ho avuto la tentazione di prenotare di nuovo l'Ibis, ma ho cambiato idea e prenotato. La stanza era molto meglio dell'Ibis, molto più spazio, pulito, ben servito, non poteva davvero sbagliarlo, e vicino al nostro bar preferito. Un paio di strani impiegati di ricezione, una ragazza molto giovane che ci guardava in alto e in basso, e poi il vecchio ricettore di una sera che ha fatto il suo lavoro (che non potevo davvero colpire, ma non era interessato a noi). Io sarei rimasto, grande posizione e silenzio.

Had a very welcoming check in experience by a lovely young lady who explained everything in some detail to me including the car parking in the underground car park below. And how there was a special rate of €10 something for 2 hours there if the ticket was correctly validated, so I parked our car down there. Spent a lovely evening in town and upon checking out the following day presented my car park ticket for the expected validation to be told that I had to do that with the office at the car park. So I went there and explained that I was staying at the Ibis and needed the ticket validating and was directed to the cash machine. Which promptly charged me €34.40 for the privilege of 20 hours parking. I will be visiting Epernay again on my travels but will be staying well away from the centre. Either someone from the municipal car park needs to talk to the Ibis management, or vice versa, the Ibis management needs to talk to them. I obviously was not the first victim of this.

We had the absolute privilege to stay at Le 25 bis. It was one of the best places we stayed during our holiday in Europe. The staff were lovely and so helpful - nothing was too much trouble. Each time we arrived back, we were welcomed with a friendly greeting and genuine interest in how our explorations of Champagne were going - they gave us plenty of recommendations and helpful advice (were very obliging when we wanted to practice speaking French but were equally happy to speak fluently in English - no language barriers whatsoever). Couldn't recommend this place high enough. Special thanks to Perrine who was amazing!

Il hotel è un hotel che si trova tra un alloggio e un primo ministro e che ha un valore incredibile a 38 £ per due persone per la notte. Il personale era benvenuto e utile e il parcheggio abbondante e gratuito. Una passeggiata di 15 minuti in città per visitare le case di champagne era facile. Ci sono addizioni come colazione disponibile. Il letto era comodo e il bagno era una piccola soluzione di pod preformato. Tutto di base non fritte, ma perfetto per le nostre esigenze. Il £38 che ho pagato è un valore incredibile Sarebbe sicuramente rimasto se la necessità fosse aumentata.

Essendo di passaggio durante un giro in moto, abbiamo apprezzato il parcheggio interno dell'hotel. Le camere sono risultate pulite ma non troppo grandi e, soprattutto, con pochissime possibilità di appoggio (intendo tavoli o supporti su cui appoggiare tutto quanto si ha quando si viaggia in moto: borse, caschi, zaini, ecc). Inoltre tutti gli arredi, i pavimenti e i bagni sono molto ”plastificati”. Colazione discreta.

This was our second visit to the hotel in six months. The hotel is in a good location to visit Epernay and the champagne houses. Good free parking. Very friendly and professional staff. Extensive choice at breakfast and comfortable rooms. The rooms have recently had a refresh, we had a ground floor room with a small outdoor seating area which was a useful addition. We would recommend if you are visiting the area.

AVOID Don't stay in this hotel if: you like your room dark, your beds not creaky, but most of all if you would like your hotel to take responsibility for other guests being able to enter your room during the night. Around 2:30 PM we were woken up by another (drunk) guest in our room, who was accompanied by a group of friends outside. My wife was terrified. Safe to say we did not sleep much after that. The next day we took this up with the reception, where security footage showed that the door opened by itself in the early hours of the night. The door had been closed properly and locked. The hotel proceeded to do their very best to put the blame for this occurrence on us and on the guest entering our room in the middle of the night, even when it turned out the door-closing mechanism was faulty as it was not screwed onto the door. The hotel manager even tried to downplay the fact that the door-closing mechanism was faulty to us. Then, the email address they provided to us to escalate our complaint bounced (yes, we double-checked the spelling). As a result, we've lost all trust in this hotel, and we'd not be surprised if they try to blame us again for the door opening by itself due to a faulty door-closing mechanism in the middle of the night in a response below. At least none of our things were taken and my wife wasn't alone in the room. It could have been much worse than a few lost hours of sleep. We will never stay in any Vacancéole property ever again. We'd recommend you to do the same.
