We booked this motel last minute on our way back from our tour of western Queensland. This is the best motel we've ever stayed in. I'm a fussy traveler but this place exceeded my expectations. It's so nice to see somewhere that pays attention to detail to ensure their guests comfort. From the impeccable cleanliness of the rooms and facilities, to the convenience of the kitchenette equipped with everything right down to salt and pepper sachets, to the fact that there was actually enough towel hooks for the number of occupants the room can facilitate and real hand-wash in the bathroom and also adequate seating both inside and out. On top of this comfy beds, a quiet location, an onsite laundry and an outdoor communal undercover seating area. My only wish is that more motels were like this!! Well done to owners/ management, this place is a true gem! Really feels like home away from home.

Room smelt like urine from the moment It was in the room at the start but as it was heavily coated a Perfume that was used to try and try and cover up the smell, so I sat my phone down on the big comfortable chair and when I picked it up I could smell it on my hands absolutely disgusting, then the bed was hard as nails, overall I don’t say this much but I recommend never staying in a place that will do this to people, sorry no excuses it’s that strong the smell I can smell it in the bathroom they know

What a lovely place to stay. I would highly recommend this place to stay in ever needing a nice simple but comfortable in Emerald. From arrival my experience was so lovely, with a very warm welcome from the manager. The rooms a modern and very clean, even with a pod coffee maker. I stay in a lot of motels in country towns, this one is up there among the most pleasant.

Beautiful clean room lovely welcome at reception good bed well situated in town the little touches of windscreen cleaner and bottle opener were very welcome recommended pub meal spot on very modern fit out in room very restful stay enjoyed this lovely town very much with very friendly hospitality wherever we ate

Our room was lovely, modern, warm and clean with a neat kitchenette and a super bathroom with a great shower. The lady at reception was very friendly and helpful. The onsite laundry was very useful to us at that stage in our trip and the free wifi signal was excellent. The motel is located just across the road from the "Big Easel" (sunflower painting) and tourist info centre and is just a couple of minutes' walk to the centre of Emerald and all the pubs and shops there. Highly recommended!

This place is so lovely. The service was great and the room was beautiful. So easy to relax after a day at the gem fields. Conveniently located across from the ‘Information Centre’ and reasonably priced also. I noticed that the tiles in bathroom can cause a slip hazard when wet so be aware. Room contained a kitchenette with complimentary tea, coffee, and water. Laundry facilities also onsite that takes both $1 & $2 coins. Very happy with our stay.

Stayed 2 nights here during a 3wk road trip, and it was perfect for our needs. Excellent access and bathroom for wheelchair, but a bit of a tight squeeze between the dining table and the end of the bed. The room is modern, bright and meticulously clean. The kitchenette was great and the coffee machine and pods was a special surprise. We caught up on our washing and I chose to hang it in the sunshine on the outside line. Nothing was too much trouble for the cheerful and friendly hosts. Highly recommended.

Another motel to recommend if you are travelling through on your way up FNQ. This is a lovely quiet motel with a kitchenette and fridge, microwave, kettle, knives forks and spoons and amenities. Water and milk also left in the fridge which I think is a very nice welcoming touch. Biscuits too. Everything you need. The room is nicely decorated with a separate table and chairs. The bed was nice and big and comfortable. We would definitely recommend a stay here. Nice reception staff too. Book in advance again as there were no vacancies when we arrived but thankfully we had booked ahead. Another lovely town, Emerald.

Lovely modern hotel with comfortable beds. Very clean and great kitchenette facilities. Be warned of shunting trains though, right outside the rooms. I know this is outside control of the owners but just be aware you will hear the noise during the night. Other than that a great motel.
