Ho fatto il check-in l'8 luglio. La stanza era al terzo piano. Faceva troppo caldo e le tende erano rotte per bloccare la luce. Ho chiesto alla reception e ho detto che avrebbe dovuto aspettare fino al prossimo lunedì 11 luglio) per risolverlo. In realtà, l'11 luglio è la mia data di partenza. Pertanto, le strutture ei servizi dell'hotel non sono soddisfacenti, il soggiorno dei tre giorni, mi ha dato una pessima esperienza, questi tre giorni non mi sono riposato bene. Ha rovinato le mie aspettative per le vacanze.

The location is quite good. It takes only ~10min walk to the university of Edinburgh. And we are warmly greeted and patiently treated during our stay. Recommend it.

I was extremely pleased with this hotel. The location was phenomenal for a tourist -- just down the street from Grassmarket and a short walk from there to Princess Street, the castle, Royal Mile, etc. In the other directions were quieter but still active neighborhoods with endless options for food and drinks. The hotel itself was a bit dated but well maintained. I was pleasantly surprised with how quiet the room was, despite my being on the ground floor right up against the reception area. I would stay here again in a heartbeat for my next visit.

Overall disappointed. Hotel was average for a high price. Not as good as other other hotels of the same name. Say in the other hotels in group all the time

Location was at a decent place, not far from Old Town, bars and cafes nearby. Easy to get a cab on the street and hotel has a button to order one.
But the reason why the hotel is poor, is the overall bad condition of it. Both rooms carpeted floors were disgustingly dirty and drapes had dirt that looked like a bloodstain on them. Shower/bath is really poor and not cleaned well.
Also both rooms were really chilly. Staff mostly nice and helpful.
Didn't try breakfast, sounded too pricey for what it was listed, but close to the hotel there's foodshops and cafes.
The bed was really good.
