Residence Inn East Lansing

All was clean and good except for the TV and remote didn't work well. And the breaker would blow when you had more than one light on.

One of the nicer Residence Inns that we have stayed in. We were here during move in week for MSU students and it did not seem overrun at all. Breakfast was always stocked, someone friendly and helpful was always at the front desk (no matter the time of day). Room suites were a very good size and clean and quiet despite being a fully booked hotel. The location was great - really close to campus (20 minute walk to our daughter's dorm in the east neighborhood of campus). There is also a Starbucks across the street inside a very nice athletic club/medical center. FYI Breakfast is only until 9am. Our favorite part of this hotel was Mary who was at front desk each morning-super helpful, upbeat and positive, engaging with the guests, especially the kids, telling them "They've got this!" and "It's gonna be a great year!" as they headed out to campus. It really was a great way to start the day. Thank you Mary and to the rest of the staff at Residence Inn for making the transition that much smoother. This will for sure be our place to stay whenever we visit our daughter!

I had to come to East Lansing from Chicago to visit a sick loved one . I am so grateful for Tracie Kent, Justin & the rest of the staff that made such a hard trip a more comfortable one. I hope Marriott knows what a gem Tracie Kent is. She's more than a GM. She's a true leader with a beautiful soul with a passion to truly serve others.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean, comfortable and well laid out! The shower was great! The breakfast was amazing - more than expected! The Inn was conveniently located near Hwy 127, which we were travelling on. Also very close to Costco!

Everything was wonderful in this hotel.The amenities, the location of the hotel, and the hospitality. It was all truly amazing really.One thing they could try improving on though is breakfast menu options.

We first visited the hotel in 2017 for a week. This trip we stayed 26 days and it was a super time. First, all the staff deserves gold medals for their friendliness, helpfulness and all-around good cheer. They really make sure every guest is given their full attention. The room was clean and all the appliances and bathrooms worked well. The hotel public areas are well maintained. The laundry room worked out great for us. Nicely equipped fitness room. I whole-heartedly recommend this hotel for anyone staying in the East Lansing area.

This was a nicely laid out room with a full kitchen (but no oven). It had a full sized refrigerator, cooktop, microwave, pans, dishes and utensils. Nice little table and chairs too. There was even a cozy chair. Only thing I didn’t like was the bed was too close to the wall. I’ll bet it’s a hardship on the housekeeping staff for remaking the beds too. No breakfast served but you can fix your own meals. I would absolutely recommend this.
