The Lancaster Motel by OYO Ronks Near Paradise

The young man who looked after us went beyond duty to make our stay so nice. Very personable and tried to meet all our needs. Can’t spell his name?

Great place to stay for a night. Bed was uncomfortable but very clean. Nice walk-in shower. Would stay again. Owner was pleasant to deal with. Close to shopping and restaurants.

Property is small but clean. It’s worth the price. Staff is very nice and friendly. I have a little issue with the room and he’s very nice to move us to another room which is more bigger and better than the one we had. We will come back again for sure.

Room good/check in unique Room was good for just one night stay, clean and comfortable. Check in little unusual had to call phone number for someone to come to desk. Booked two rooms and had to register and pay separately for each room wouldn’t allow pay for both at one time.

Went to check in after booking room through *******, hand them my credit card and drivers license, they said I need a $100 security deposit, I said that’s fine you can put on my card. Well they proceeded to say I needed a $100 cash security deposit, I told them I didn’t have that much cash on me, they said go next door to the gas station to get it out of the atm, I said no and to cancel my room through them & *******. There is a charge on my credit card statement that I used to reserve my room, and it is next to impossible to talk to a live person at *******. The whole deal seemed extremely shady to me, and I am extremely frustrated with ******* which I used all the time for work travel up to this point.

It is a nice little place to stay with friendly staff. The room was smaller than it looked in the pictures, but was enough for a 1 night stay. Biggest issue was, it was about 33°F outside and when I walked into the room it was so cold there was a layer of ice in the toilet that did not allow the used paper to go down. It took until I showered for it to melt completely. I turned the heat on high and it took about 3 hrs to feel comfortable in the room without a hat and sweatshirt on. Heat was not on at all when I arrived. There were a few items either not mentioned on website or that were different from website. First, there is a $100 cash security deposit that you will get back after the room is checked at checkout, but most people do not carry cash. That is not mentioned any where. Second, checkout is 10am, not 11am as mentioned on website. If it was warmer out I'm sure the room would have been better though.
