I was having surgery in Durango, because the room I booked was available they allowed me to check in way earlier than my designated time due to my operation. In addition, they provided me water bottles and complimentary snacks. I am a gold member and I have stayed at many hiltons. You could tell this location really did care about its guest as most other places would have not made the accommodation for my procedure. Everyone I talked to was very nice and tried their best to make accommodations. I would recommend anyone staying in Durango to stay here as the hotel is very nice and cares about its guests. 10/10 experience and I will be writing to Hilton as well to express my gratitude for their kindness.

Located just south of town, the hotel is convenient to all areas of Durango. It is on an access road adjacent to a limited-access highway, but it is very easy to get around. The interior corridors on the three-stories are served by an elevator and rooms are comfortable. Every afternoon, there is popcorn and cookies, and in the morning a hot breakfast. Front desk staff are very friendly and helpful. Durango itself is rather congested to drive through, so it is best to go there after 6 pm for free parking, or after 5 pm in municipal lots. If you are going to Mesa Verde, it is a 40 minute drive to the visitors center and 1 hour, 15 minutes to the first historic site. It is in an ideal situation for the park and for Silverton, Delores, and points east. Durango can be expensive to stay in, but I found the prices here more reasonable for all that you get.

This hotel has a beautiful lobby and nice rooms with comfortable beds. I would have given them more than 3 stars if our breakfast experience had been better. We stayed 2 days and both mornings there was no milk, no plates and no syrup for the waffles. The staff blamed it on problems with shipping and the fact they didn’t have a hotel credit card to buy it themselves. We and one other guest bought milk for the 2nd morning. Why couldn’t they have done the same?

Whether in the bar or the restaurant or the front desk, all of the staff are friendly,efficient and helpful. The food in the restaurant was great. Hotel is in a great location. Right on the river with balconies facing it. It’s only a couple of blocks from the train station and downtown Durango. I do need to point out that the hotel is starting to show its age. Carpeting in the common areas needs to be replaced and the interior has the feel of something built some time ago. However, having said that, they are doing a good job with maintenance of the facility and most importantly, the hotel common areas and rooms were clean.

Questo è un hotel molto bello. E 'molto pulito. Le camere sono grandi. Eccellente colazione con molte opzioni. L'area da pranzo è molto bello. Il personale da scrivania è molto amichevole e utile. Normally I don't rate a hotel this high, but the Front Desk person very much symphathized and agreed with my concern about dogs being in the hotel (above the first floor). She agreed that dogs should have restricted access as many people like myself are either allergic to dogs or otherwise don't want their personal space invaded by an overanxious dog (and Owner who does not respect the personal space of others). The Front Desk girl said Hilton will soon allow dogs on ALL hotel floors. Too bad. I will have to re-evaluate my stay at Hilton hotels. Pleasing just dog owners at the expense of everyone else is not a winning strategy. Please keep the first-floor only policy for dogs. (Stay was on April 30. Keep the Front Desk girl! She was extremely nice; you don't want to lose her.) By the way, the rest of the hotel--room, etc. were excellent overall.
