The hotel staff have been so helpful. Very kind and advised me with everything. This made my trip calm, enjoyable and appreciated the warmth of the team at the hotel. The pool was very refreshing after the day trips. The rooms are calm and comfortable. As a foreigner, I felt welcome and was able to do all the sights and enjoy local food. Thoroughly recommend!

Non puoi finirli affatto. Il servizio era anche peggio. Il cosiddetto maggiordomo non era per niente professionale e il servizio era troppo passivo. Ad esempio, siamo arrivati un po' tardi il primo giorno e non ha preso l'iniziativa di contattarci per sapere se volevamo cenare al ristorante. Non ci ha mandato il menù finché non siamo arrivati e gli abbiamo chiesto se c'era un ristorante. Si è scoperto che la piccola hot pot costava 398 a persona, il che era molto costoso, ma eravamo troppo pigri per uscire, quindi ne abbiamo ordinate due. Ora quasi tutti gli hotel effettuano il check-out subito dopo aver consegnato la tessera della camera. L'ispezione della camera è una cosa del passato. Suggerisco al capo di assumere un team operativo più professionale. Naturalmente, un hotel con un budget di 2.000+ non è privo di vantaggi. La tenda è piuttosto grande, con aria condizionata, frigorifero, stereo, divano, bagno privato e articoli da toeletta di alta qualità. La biancheria da letto è ancora migliore ed è ovviamente di alta qualità, molto morbida e confortevole.

Il servizio del negozio è molto buono. Contattaci dopo la fine del prossimo ordine, consigliamo a noi strategie locali e cibo dolce, e come giocare

BBlade.around.the.worldThe Donhuang Island Guesthouse is located in a rather nondescript building but in an excellent location just a few minutes walk from the middle entrance of the Mingsha mountain on a fairly quiet side street. The Guesthouse is surrounded by eateries.and has camels walking past the front of the property in mornings and evenings on their way from and to work.The Guesthouse has an easy location to catch a taxi as it's nearby an intersection with lots of taxis available.
It's important to understand that this property is not located in downtown which is probably part of it's charm. A taxi will cost 35 yuan from the train station or Mongua Caves. Going to the night market which is 5 kilometres away will cost you 11 yuan by regular taxi.
The Donhuang Island gueshouse offers simple but smartly furnished rooms. The beds are good, the shower is hot and the air-conditioning is cold. But what makes this guesthouse truly stand out is the remarkable hospitality from the owner and his whole team. Hahan the golden retriever from the property across the road comes by on a frequent visit and is the centre of attention.
It was a pleasure to stay here. The only minus is; how much I hate the disposable towels but that is just a minor thing amid all the positivity.

I initially booked a desert campsite for my last night but canceled upon arrival as it didn’t meet expectations. Needing a reliable solution, I returned to Silk Road YiJun, where the incredible **Xiaxia (小夏)** once again went above and beyond. Without hesitation, she researched alternatives and presented thoughtful options tailored to my needs. However, after my earlier booking disappointment, I chose to spend another night at the hotel—a decision I’m so glad I made!
My new room was even better than the first, and the entire staff remained consistently warm and professional. **But Xiaxia truly stands out—her proactive kindness and problem-solving skills are unmatched!**
If I return to Dunhuang, I’ll stay here without hesitation, thanks largely to her outstanding service.

UUtente ospiteServizi: Sembra un po' vecchio, ma ho scoperto che è stato ristrutturato dieci anni fa e che tutto il legno era di olmo. Non credo che si possa definire vecchio, ma piuttosto un senso di vetustà.
Igiene: È abbastanza pulito, ma vivere al primo piano potrebbe essere un po' umido per chi vive in zone asciutte.
Ambiente: Il verde del B&B è molto bello e la foresta di bambù è ben curata, ma non ci sono pesci nello stagno.
Servizio: Il servizio è eccellente. Il ragazzo e la ragazza alla reception hanno risposto a tutte le domande, si sono precipitati ad aiutare con i bagagli e hanno parcheggiato l'auto. Sembra il servizio di un hotel, non di un B&B.
In breve, questa esperienza è stata molto positiva.

UUtente ospiteQuesta locanda è altamente raccomandata. La famiglia del proprietario è molto amichevole e calorosa. Mi sento davvero a casa. L'ambiente è pulito e igienico e gli asciugamani e gli articoli da bagno hanno un odore come se fossero stati asciugati al sole. Dietro la locanda si trova il vigneto del proprietario, dove gli ospiti possono raccogliere e assaggiare i frutti autonomamente. Ogni giorno, quando sarete stanchi di giocare, la locanda vi accoglierà con un piatto di frutta fresca. La madre del proprietario è una cuoca provetta e i piatti che prepara sono igienici e deliziosi. Spero di avere l'occasione di tornarci!

UUtente ospiteFuguo was so new when we visited in April 2025 that it was still being constructed around us! The staff made great efforts to minimize disruption and noise, and the room was very clean since it was basically new! Special thanks to Xiao Tian and the others at the front desk for going above and beyond for helping us locate a lost item, including contacting the business and arranging a courier to retrieve the lost item. Breakfast was great, too, and the breakfast staff very accommodating! The only caveat (especially for Western guests un-used to the ubiquitous smoking habit in China): we had a wonderful time at Fuguo hotel partially because this was the only truly non-smoking facility we encountered during our trip to China. Because it was so new, the hotel did not have the smell of smoke in its general areas or within the non-smoking rooms. However, while leaving on our last day, we noticed that a large group of guests took up residence and immediately started smoking in the elevator and lobby. We recommend the hotel reinforces its non-smoking policy - as stated on the lobby signs - so that all guests can breathe comfortably.

UUtente ospiteWe arrived at the accommodation when it was raining heavily. There were a lot of leaks from the roof, when we entered the room we simply saw that the mattress was completely wet as a result of the leak. We then moved to another room where there was a leak in the bathroom as well as a lot of dirt, including in the toilet. In the meantime, the girl at the desk honored us with a very tasty local watermelon. She apologized for the situation and moved us to another room. The next room was a huge room, I think it was their suite. The room itself was really comfortable and large, but it was simply full of spiders and cobwebs. We decided that we would still stay in the room despite its poor maintenance. They cleaned the room for us a little, but it didn't help, but we had no more strength to complain. We cleaned it ourselves so that the stay would be reasonable. It should be noted that the place only has a solar water heater, so on cloudy and rainy days there will be no hot water as happened to us on the day of arrival. We asked the staff in the evening for tomatoes and onions and they happily gave us them free of charge. This is noteworthy and thank you for that. It should be noted that the Didi does not always arrive at the accommodation location, they offer a paid shuttle, which is convenient. On the second day we went out to the dunes at sunrise, the guy at the desk insisted that we would be cold and gave us some kind of sand socks. Only when we returned did we realize that it was actually a fee of 20 for both of us (just like on the website, and much more than supermarkets in the area). We did not understand why we were not told that it was a fee, plus it looked used and did not come in a plastic wrap. Apart from this incident, the staff was nice and helped us with the shuttle (for a fee). The breakfast was great, and they tried to help us according to our vegetarianism. We wanted to extend our stay after cleaning the room ourselves and it was decent and good, but the price was high for us, which is perfectly fine and reasonable on their part, and we decided to leave.
