Waterfront Hotel Dungloe

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Had a wonderful stay at The Waterfront Hotel in Dungloe. It’s in a fantastic location, with beautiful views, affordable rates, and such a welcoming atmosphere. The food was excellent, and the staff couldn’t have been friendlier. A perfect base for exploring the area – highly recommended!

Lovely friendly hotel comfortable rooms nice bar and great food we had a fabulous dinner and breakfast and even had lunch before we left Would recommend it Lovely views and peaceful setting

A superb hotel . Lovely rooms ,good food with great service. Very nice breakfast. I have stayed in many hotels in Donegal and beyond but this is up there with the best . Not a star and stuffy but 4 star laid back and most importantly all the staff were happy . Says alot about the management. Would recommend it for all ages and families .

Booked Sunday lunch x 5. Seated straight away sat 15 minutes before order taken had to ask could we order drinks. Sat another 15 minutes before I had to proceed to bar to ask where were the drinks. Food finally arrived was nice but service very poor. Plenty of staff but spent most of their time walking around clueless.

Having stayed in the hotel three times over the past 2 years we were looking forward to returning in August but it was a total disappointment! At breakfast the fruit on offer was apple and watermelon! There was a long wait time for bread to be replenished. We asked for tea/ coffee 3 times before receiving it. The staff walked by and even with numerous attempts to gain their attention, ignored us! The room was a deluxe room but I'm not sure what was deluxe about it ! The fan was broken and caused condensation which meant the mirror was steamed up . The sink would not drain. This was reported and nothing done about it! On the first night the WiFi was non existent. It was slightly better on the second day. When leaving the receptionist never enquired about our stay/ wished us well/ or even said goodbye. This hasn't been a great stay and we certainly won't be back. A huge disappointment!

Arrived at reception bar not overly busy few tables available.. was shown across to the restaurant we were so excited as we normally are seated in bar area which we love ..but what a huge disappointment..unimpressive.. poor lighting, poor inexperienced staff not blaming the young staff to be honest..but this is totally unacceptable no connection with guests at all ..our child even copped that we were being talked about by the staff nearby at the till area as they could see the delay we were experiencing that our meals were so delayed.. absolutely no sign of any management.at all young spanish man said he was new and he was trying hard to cover up for senior managements failures . meals arrived chicken curry had actually 5 little pieces of chicken for €21 with chips ?? .curry was so liquidy watery the rest of our meals were actually cold !! We had to send back to get reheated so then the steak was very much overdone by microwave then .. Always loved our visits to here but unfortunately this was such a lmassive et down on this occasion.. not one person checked on our table at any time no ketchup for kids in condiments either so couldn't be bothered in chasing this shortfall, expensive day out for such a poor experience will definitely not be returning soon which is so sad as we always loved coming to this hotel and enjoyed our experiences previously..we paid in full and left very unimpressed.
