Hotel in zona Finglas Village Centre, Dublino

Myself & two friends checked in to a triple room (Room 7) on Friday 24th February 2023. The hotel room was dirty. The towels had “stains” on them and was not very clean at all. The bed mattresses had marks and stains on there and it felt very unclean. The room was unhygienic and extremely dusty. This reflects on your previous reviews from Trip Advisor. The window is rotting away and dirty, and in the morning, it was wet with condensation and the room made all our clothes and bedding feel damp and cold. On Saturday morning, there was no running water. When we spoke to someone at the hotel, they said it would be fixed that day. It was not. We spoke to someone again and they said the water would take time to come up to the room? We had no running water. Please be advised that one of the guests in the room is Disabled. He has a bowel condition meaning that he has to change his external stoma every day. Being unable to hygienically wash was a challenge and could have caused infection or serious health concerns. We could not use taps to brush teeth, we could not shower, and most importantly, we could NOT flush the toilet chain. Meaning our facilities were redundant. We did not pay 400 euros, to stay in a hostel. This is what it felt like. We were told to shower in a “communal” shower downstairs on the first floor. That was absolutely disgusting. Unclean and unhygienic and the water trickled out of the head of the shower, which effectively means we did not feel clean once we “Showered”. We addressed this again on Sunday to a lady on reception and nothing was done about it. When we checked out on Monday, we spoke to a man on the reception desk who did not really take me very seriously. I explained the issues and he just stood there and smiled and didn’t even apologise or offer any refund for these issues. We did not pay 400 euros to stay in a hotel with a shared shower. This is not advertised as a shared bathroom and a hostel. It is advertised as a B&B. Yes, a B&B that cannot meet basic Health and safety regulations. I told him I would escalate to **********. I spoke to them today, and they advised they contacted the hotel, and they would call me regarding this, which they have not done. I am very disappointed that we paid hard earned money to stay at your hotel, yet the basic minimum requirements were not met of: Cleanliness Hygiene Running water Clean bedding and towels We have written for a refund. If not, we may take action.

L'hotel è situato proprio sulla strada principale di Dublino, con molti ristoranti, bar e negozi nei dintorni. I membri del personale sono molto gentili e disponibili. La camera non è abbastanza grande ma è tutto ben tenuto.

Posizione perfetta, tutto è raggiungibile a due passi. La stanza è spaziosa, comodissimo l'angolo cottura, dotato di tutto il necessario per poterlo utilizzare (cibo a parte ovviamente), il bagno pulito, doccia fantastica, letto comodo e caldo.. Receptionist rapida e gentile. Lo consiglierei a chiunque!! Unica pecca prova del sistema antincendio in piena notte che ci ha fatti svegliare.. Ma pazienza è per la nostra sicurezza..

I visited the clink I lar hostel with two of my friends in February 2024. Now the staff was really friendly and lovely and the location was great. However, I was in a mixed room (with mostly men) because we were a group of 2 girls and one guy and the room was disgusting. There was absolutely no ventilation, windows didn’t open and there was no air conditioning so the room stank of body odour and sweat! It was very unpleasant… The bed layout was also really strange, two of the bunk bed sets, the ones at the corner of the room were sort of connected which meant that the man sleeping in the bed next to mine could just move his curtain and look into my bed, which he did and made me feel really uncomfortable. Other than that during our stay the kitchen was out of order which was also incredibly inconvenient because Dublin is so expensive. So in conclusion I would not really recommend if you’re a woman/queer person unless you stay in a private room or woman only room.

Gli ostelli in tutto il mondo devono prendere atto di ciò che è un vero ostello e che è Jacobs Inn Hostel a Dublino. Situato nel centro di Dublino e facile da trovare, si salutano con amichevole, caldo personale che può aiutarvi con qualsiasi cosa si ha bisogno. Consigli sui segni, ristoranti, eventi, hanno una risposta. L'area comune è piena di persone che lavorano, socializzano o semplicemente rilassano. La musica non è troppo alta, così la comunicazione e il lavoro è facile. È molto atmosferico e è un grande luogo per fare nuovi amici durante i vostri viaggi. E'stupendo decorato e la loro zona bar/divorzio è incredibile. La colazione è servita e vi è una buona varietà da scegliere. Le camere o le pozzi sono pulite, ben mantenute e le bagni sono pulite.

L'hotel ha una buona posizione, molto vicino al centro città. Le insoddisfazioni sono tre: Per prima cosa avevo prenotato un letto matrimoniale, ma si è scoperto che erano due letti singoli uniti, il che non era buono come una camera con letto matrimoniale. In secondo luogo, la stanza è troppo piccola, devi camminare di lato e non c'è posto dove appoggiare la valigia. Il bagno è più piccolo e accidentato. Una stanza così piccola è adatta solo per una persona, ma viene addebitata come una doppia. Terzo, non c'è nessun posto dove appendere i vestiti lavati. Non c'è un armadio, solo un gancio per appendere cappotti e cappelli. Nel complesso, è stato un soggiorno scomodo e non valeva il prezzo di 1.000 yuan a notte.

Ho trascorso in questo hotel un paio di giorni per lavoro, la camera era molto pulita e ben attrezzata, la colazione era a livello con gli standard. Una menzione speciale va a Goran, un ragazzo di origini Croate, cresciuto in Italia che mi ha accolto ogni mattina con il sorriso (Nonostante la mascrina) davvero un professionista nel suo mestiere. La palestra é atrezzata con tutto il necessario. Grazie ancora di tutto, a presto.

Grande se si dispone di un volo dall'aeroporto di Dublino. Il bar era grande, ma ci sembrava che ci fosse un po' più di scelta di cibo nel ristorante e nel bar. La colazione era eccellente. Trasporti pubblici vicini alla città principale di Swords.

We stayed at the Beckett Locke in July 2023. After having a bad experience with another hotel we decided to book and check in at 10:30pm and as soon as we arrived we felt like we were home. We stayed in a 1 bedroom apartment which had so much space! The bed was comfortable and the block out curtains were great and we both slept so well. Having a washer dryer machine in the room was an extra bonus. Would highly recommend staying at any of the Locke accomodation (we’ve also stayed at a Locke in a London which was equally good!)

The pictures made this place look so good but beware! My partner and I booked a 4 night stay and were excited to find a reasonably priced and cute looking place even if it was far from Dublin city center. The first room we were assigned was dirty including a used bottle of mouth wash on the floor of the room. After requesting a different room, we were moved down the hall to a new room. This one was dirty: *Toenail* on the floor, Bottle of febreeze on the counter, Smelled bad Disgusting lump of tape and something?? stuck to the wall Booger on the wall Stains There were also greasy smears on the night table and window sill. Pretty much you didn't want to touch anything. We were exhausted form a hectic day of travel so decided to grin and bear it for the night and then promptly cancelled the reservation the next morning. While the hotel refunded the remainder of the stay they did nothing to make up for the awful experience and significant inconvenience of having to re-book, change plans, etc. When I called to reach the property the next morning (no in person staff at the property which we knew), I was informed the manager would not be in until 10am. I called back at 10:05 and was informed the manager was still not in. Called back at 10:30, still not in. Finally, got a call around 10:40 from the manager who agreed to cancel the reservation after I told them how dirty the room*s* had been. In fairness, the bathroom and bed seemed pretty clean (and the portrait of Jonathan Rhys Meyers from The Tudors is hilarious). Save yourself a headache and frustration and book somewhere else. Worst stay I've had in a long time.
