"If you want to lose your money... I made a reservation via *********** at the Alma Hostel. When I arrived at the hotel, no one answered the door, the door was locked, and the windows were boarded up. No one answered the phone. There's a gas station across the street, and the employees told me it was closed, that it used to be a pub, but the owner was an alcoholic. I called *********** to see if they could intervene, but they didn't get a response either. I went to the police. They took me to the Travel Lodge in Dover. They charged my card £50 for the reservation, which I never got back."

"We spent our very last night in the UK at Heathwood BnB, and it was the perfect way to end our three weeks of non-stop travelling. Being greeted by Margaret truly felt like coming home... she was warm, friendly, and genuinely interested in hearing about our trip. We even had the pleasure of meeting her family next door, who were just as lovely. Our room was beautifully decorated and thoughtfully appointed, with all the little extras that make a stay special. The views across the township were exceptional. The handy desk area adjacent to the bedroom was perfect for making coffee, doing hair and makeup, or using devices, and the comfortable chairs made it easy to relax and watch TV. The bed was extremely comfortable, ensuring a great night’s sleep. The only thing we would have changed was the lack of a door into the bathroom/shower area for privacy, but it was easily resolved by drawing the bedroom curtains. What really stood out was Margaret’s kindness and hospitality. We were too tired to go out for dinner, and she graciously prepared us some homemade sandwiches... a thoughtful gesture that went above and beyond. The next morning, we enjoyed a delicious continental breakfast before heading off to the airport. A truly welcoming BnB with a host who makes you feel cared for — highly recommended!"

"Probabilmente l'hotel più accogliente che abbia mai visitato! Abbiamo prenotato una stanza per 4 adulti l'ultimo minuto, perché il posto dovevamo rimanere a cancellare su di noi quando siamo arrivati. La signora che conduce il posto ci ha anche dato una seconda stanza gratuita quando siamo arrivati! L'hotel è convenientemente situato a pochi minuti a piedi dalla città, davanti al mare, ecc, ma solo fuori strada abbastanza da non c'è rumore. L'hotel è incredibilemente decorato e arredato, ed è molto pulito. La signora che gestisce l'hotel è così bella. Era così amichevole, chattata e felice di offrire tipologie di luoghi di interesse, ristoranti e così via. Ogni sera c'era un trattamento dolce come muffin e biscotti, e poi, la nostra prima mattina c'erano croissants complimentari e pan au chocolate. La mattina scorsa ci ha invitati al ristorante dove ha fatto un colazione diffuso! Uova, omelette, marroni di hash, salsa, bacon, fette torte, tosta, giochi, marmaladesi, miele, tè, caffè! Non poteva fare abbastanza per noi, è così carina! Saremo sicuramente di nuovo, non potremmo raccomandare abbastanza!"

"We booked for a local wedding many months ago but the stay was at a different Premier Inn When we checked in we were under the impression the room paid for had been transferred. We were informed a refund had been made but we could not find the evidence. However Eloise was delightful in how she dealt with it and we paid again. Later we discovered we had not gone back far enough in time. So an apology is due to Eloise and thank you for being so very pleasant."
