Birmingham South (Rubery)

The property is in a nice quiet area but I had a loud generator under my window which closed down at midnight and started up noisily at 06.30 in the morning, so no chance of a good sleep. Coupled with this, the builders had evidently saved money on sound insulation. If this is not done properly, a building like this turns into a drum. Every step, door closure, running of water can be heard throughout the building - and this is the case with this hotel. Although my night's sleep was poor, the bed was very comfortable.

Our go to home from home for a good night's sleep. Staff always welcoming, rooms always clean. If the room is short of anything ( t bags/ towels) staff have remedied immediately. Have tried Airbnb but prefer the more personal touch we have found with Premier.

Very comfortable stay and staff were very engaged and helpful. Really well placed to get to all the places in Birmingham that we needed. Would definitely come here again when visiting Birmingham and would recommend it for other friends thinking of coming to Birmingham.

Room was really nice, we booked breakfast for 8.30 with 2 adults,2 kids. Got to breakfast for just before 8.30 only had 1 table left near a door where there was a draft, breakfast took 25 min to come out as this was cooked to order when order came items was missing . If I had know this I would’ve of ordered breakfast here. Didn’t seem to be enough staff or tables for the amount of customers there. People was turned away as no tables available, people walked out waiting to long for cooked breakfast. The continental breakfast was not stocked well. Then a staff member allowed what looked like 2 homeless people come in and clear what was left of the continental breakfast item that was left there. This was just after 9. Felt like this was not an unlimited breakfast as unless you have a lot of time to wait for it to be cooked items to be done. We had a day out planned from our stay starting at 10 o’clock. I’ve stayed in a lot of premium inn hotels but this is my 1st experience like this in the restaurant. Apart from the restaurant the hotel was really nice the lady that was on reception when we arrived was really nice and chatty with the children. They had a little Easter duck find in the room. My daughter was made up with this as she found a duck and got a little sweet for the reception.

Great staff and food was good but the Internet is really poor and keeps cutting out,investment in wi fi equipment is needed even upgrading to the ultimate paid Internet just as bad ruined my stay as needed to access online training material I was moved to another area closer to reception and I had no Internet access point at all !

Nice hotel and the staff were amazing a young lady called Rebecca I think really looked after me pub next door easy to find rooms nice and clean good location food was good and drinks not overpriced thanks very much Rebecca for making me feel welcome
