I due ragazzi che gestiscono la guesthouse sono gentili ed accoglienti. La struttura è essenziale ma ben attrezzata, i letti sono comodi e ha due cucine con un ampio locale. All'esterno c'è un altro edificio per l'accoglienza degli ospiti

Nice quiet area with several walking options.
Room was OK.
Well equipped kitchen.
The polish girl at the reception was very helpful.
Shared shower may be occupied for a long time when needed.

The location is beautiful and they have a nice large kitchen but the bathroom facilities are old. There only 2 shower stalls so waiting in line is a given. Besides they are combined with toilet stalls so other people may enter when either one is in use. The shower stalls are old and the drainage is inadequate so the shower pan collects dirty water while you're taking a shower. Electricity is available and the staff are nice.

We have spent one night at Fossardalur Guesthouse and we have loved it. Warmth welcome by the two Polish girls who have been fantastic in their indications and suggestions, well done girls. We have slept in a nice room just in front of the common area; there is a huge area with a common kitchen where you can cook; a clean common batroom and a huge spot for your roulotte, campervans or tents. Very nice experience. Very suggested

One night stay to see the eastern side of country before heading to the North. Have to say that I was pleasantly surprised that experience was much better than expected. Thought there might be a concern with sharing one shower with all guests. We got there early and used it before others arrived. We both slept like babies.

This guesthouse is just off the ring road up a short gravel path. The location once you get up there is absolutely stunning. Theres a small brook running by the guesthouse with a bubbling stream. Its all very beautiful and peaceful. It's a popular site for campers/camping vans but the guesthouse has its own protected facilities. Two kitchens to use meant plenty of space to make breakfast and dinner, and plenty of space to relax. Our room was warm, comfortable, and a good size. We were quite tired but there were good walking opportunities in the area. Host was lovely. Only one shower for the guesthouse (two toilets though) could have been problematic but the guesthouse wasn't busy when we stayed, so no issues with this.

Such a unique property, had all the basic amenities needed for a good night sleep. They even provide earplugs.
