Dream Vision Guest House

If you are going to Diu, do not even think about going elsewhere. Dream vision has everything you need. I spent 3 nights there, and for of all, the accomodation is right in the center of the town. The sea, teh restaurants, some shops, banks but also local life, everything is nearby. You can visit the fort by foot very easily and walk through the town. The bedroom is very comfortable, with AC and nice hot water, all you need as well as a comfy bed. My favorite thing was that the door bell to your room sounds like a bird singing, so cute. There are actual birds in the common area, tables, a little garden, you can have a great breakfast there and meet with people. Of course the chai is delicious. The accomodation is great, but that is not it. The best thing is actually the people. The owners are absolutely wonderful. They are very very sweet, available, they have great recommendations about your stay, incredibly helpful even to book things for you, they are the sweetest. We spent a lot of time talking together and it was a wonderful experience, I think that they are the best hosts I have ever seen. And the charming girl who works there is an absolute delight, so cute and smiling, with great heena skills! More than a stay it is an experience and I would recommend for anyone to go there and enjoy a bit of the real Diu. Merci beaucoup pour votre accueil, pour votre gentillesse et votre bienveillance. Strange room a little small for a big bed. Good value, friendly, helpful staff able to advise about tours and where to go, English speaking. Food available though only breakfast tried which was fine, a big tick for small and big size hot drinks, it was nice to hold a mug again.Highpoint was the garden and waking to birds singing as opposed to dogs or motorbikes. Location good less than 10 mins to everything on foot. As of early March 2024 2 of the main churches are closed for renovations, the fort is open but also undergoing restoration/ a rebuild? They are also ? building a promenade near the closest beach and either side of the fort and ? Installing a sewage system simultaneously. Personally the main attraction was the coloured houses which are unaffected.

The hosts of Dream Vision Guest House are very welcoming and friendly, I had my best stay in my whole India trip in their hotel. I recommend going to Diu even just for staying there and relax a few days, it is a great place to take a break from the Golden Triangle and ectic India. At Dream Vision Guest House they have a beautiful small garden and a nice breakfast menu. Rooms are clean and well equipped. The location is very good, in the center of diu town. I recommend renting a scooter (they call it 'bike'), for any kind of tips, information and help you can ask the hosts and they will help you out. Would definetely come back!

We all loved the welcoming atmosphere of the guest house. It is a good place just like a homestay. Staff was cooperative. The breakfast was also lovely. The ambience is impressive and we clicked many pictures there. Had dance and music at restaurant. Played carrom. Overall a great experience.

The well maintained and cozy place with good service gave us very nice experience. If you are looking for a stay in Diu, give a try to this place it will give you some homely experience. Thanks to the staff members for such a good hospitality.

Where do you start with Dream Vision!? Well we came to Diu with the intention of just staying a couple of days before moving on but completely beguiled by this fabulous homely guest house we ended up staying FIVE WEEKS! The warmth & hospitality from hosts Dhamistra & Milesh (apologies if misspelt) is simply without peer. The welcome you receive is so natural & comfortable that you immediately feel at home & one of the family. The rooms are spotless & well maintained as is the entire building. The garden & sheltered seating area is a secret oasis from the hustle bustle outside & a terrific place to socialise with fellow travellers over a nice coffee, grab a tasty bite to eat courtesy of Dhamistra’s fabulous cooking or simply hang & read a book, catch up with those emails etc. The garden is like a village with cows in the shed providing daily fresh milk & beautiful staff ladies in village attire gracefully attending to the various chores of busy guest house maintenance. If you’re lucky you’ll catch a glimpse of the resident mongoose family frolicking amongst the vegetables. It’s so easy to chill here for an entire morning (which we often did) meaning those planned trips out get postponed ‘til next day. Milesh & Dhamistra are a mine of information as to exploring both the local area & further afield so ensure you tap into their vast knowledge of things to see & do. There’s plenty to occupy you, far FAR more than the obvious information found in the guide book. The Fish market (at 7:00 AM) is an absolute must for starters! A special mention for Bhavesh who is responsible for night management & ensuring everything is secure & guests are safely tucked up before lock up. His smile & general Bon homie is in complete keeping with the charm of this wonderful hostelry. I could go on but enough already .. give it a whirl yourselves .. you will not be disappointed!!!
