Hôtel De La Vallée

The Hotel is very scenically located and has warm,friendly staff. Our frustration at having to wait four days for our ferry to the Channel Islands has been mitigated by a big comfortable bed, excellent room facilities , good restaurant and nearby parking. And 30 euros a night cheaper than a box room in a faceless chain hotel in St Malo.

Hotel booked for our anniversary week end, based on the fantastic stay at the AR INIZ hotel earlier this year. Our whole stay at the hotel was a big disappointment, down to staff attitude and poor customer service Saturday evening we booked a table when we checked into hotel. Upon arriving at 7.30 we were told no reservation had been made. We were told to wait until sorted, making us feel a bit like 2nd class clients Waiter then tried to be jokey, he said he would serve me and get a colleague to serve my wife. This made my wife very uncomfortable When I booked the hotel (May 25th) I specifically mentioned the anniversary and asked for a table reservation for the Sunday 2nd October at 2000hrs. No-one came back to me to say the restaurant was closed that evening. On check in it was confirmed a booking had been made in the restaurant for the Sunday. It was only after very poor service and attitude on the Saturday night we decided to check the Sunday evening booking, only to be told by the receptionist the restaurant was closed, someone booked it for Sunday lunch. Not us. The only response from her, when we asked where we could eat, was a shrug, nothing she could do. Again an example of poor customer service. This left us walking around Dinard looking for somewhere to eat on our anniversary. This alone has made me question whether I would stay in any other hotels within the AR Collection group of hotels

We spent 2 nights and had a great time. The staff were very welcoming, friendly and helpful. Our room was fairly small but had a balcony with table & chairs which was well worth it as it benefited from the afternoon and evening sun - perfect for aperitifs! The food was really good and nice views across the estuary from the restaurant. Just down from the hotel at the end of the quay you can catch the passenger ferry to St. Malo which made a fun outing. Parking outside the hotel is limited to 5 spaces but there is plenty of parking within walking distance but the hotel is at the bottom of a hill.

We didn’t stay at the hotel we only had dinner. The location was very good, sadly the prices being charged where somewhat over priced for the portion size……they compared with the prices expected in Paris or Nice for example. Service was pleasant although the head waiter was a little above himself not overly warm. We wouldn’t visit again

Hôtel très bien situé, vue sur mer, accueil chaleureux, petit déjeuner très complet avec des produits locaux. Personnels au petit soin, déco originale avec vue de l'intérieur sur la falaise . Idéal pour faire les promenades au bord de l'eau

Hôtel très bien situé on peut tout faire à pied: les promenades, le centre ville... Très propre, déco au top, personnel très agréable, silencieux. Le petit déjeuner avec un choix géant et du fait maison et cerise sur la gâteau : vu mer! C'est un sans faute, bravo!
