Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Sylva Dillsboro Area

The staff was very respectful and easy to reach. The room was clean. The breakfast is ok. There was a hole in the wall in our bathroom. The pool was clean and the kids enjoyed that. Big plus for us is that the pool is open until 10.

The check in process was quick. The staff members have been nice. I stayed for 4 nights total. My room was on the first floor, behind the check in desk in the handicap room so no counter space. It also smelled like feet that couldn't be covered by multiple air fresheners. The shower didn't drain and the TV didn't work. I didn't bring this to the staff attention so they weren't able to correct it. However, I did have a rough night the last night that I stayed. They checked someone in later and they happened to be across the hall from me. After 30+ minutes of slamming doors, screaming at one another, and obnoxious behavior with total disregard to others, I asked the front desk to address this. The younger girl was nice, but requested I give them more time to settle in. It was 15 minutes to midnight. If you have people checking in that late, it should go without saying to ask them to be respectful and try to put them away from where others are staying. The hotel never had more than 5 cars in the parking lot so it was feasible to spread us all out. The breakfast bar didn't offer any low-carb options so I ended up purchasing something else every morning. Not a deal breaker, but silly to have to spend more money when breakfast was included. There was a pool, however, my itinerary didn't allow for much free time to check it out. Overall, the hotel was a place to bathe and sleep. It wasn't the nicest place I've been, but it did the trick. Other than the smell, it felt comfy enough.

Everything was good. However, the phone wire had been cut so did not have a phone in the room to call front desk. I called the motel from my cell phone and the attendant came up and got the phone,

Lacking room service Nice hotel and front services were very friendly. When we booked this hotel we were unaware that they do not offer room service to people whom stay for longer periods. We had to go to front desk for towels and toilet paper. Other guest also were having issues as they had to place trash in the hallways for it to be picked up. Since the price was compatible with other hotels in the area i will be trying other hotels in our future.

Staff was great and friendly. The room was mediocre coffee pot didn’t work, there was black sticky stuff on the floor/carpet. Soap bottle was hanging off shower wall. I was supposed to get two queens but was given a queen room with a pullout sofa… The breakfast selection was horrible. Only had waffles and a microwaveable biscuit for choices of warm food. Checked out a day early and hotel was okay with refunding night I didn’t stay but ******* never refunded me, won’t be using ******* again.

Staff that was there helped as much as they possibly could however I paid for a room that I couldn’t even manage to go to sleep in until 2 AM because I had to change rooms four times due to either air conditioning and heating not working in two of the room rooms and the other one was dirty finally, the fourth one after moving four times was OK, but definitely not as clean as it needed to be. I feel like I paid over $100 for a room that was probably worth 65 at the very most. I was told that if I wanted to come back, they would give me the room for $50 plus tax. I did not want to come back and I didn’t. I felt like after all of the chaos my room should have been comped altogether.
