On our trip through Nova Scotia and other Atlantic provinces, we spent one night in the delightful Hillside Landing B&B in Digby. Jen is a wonderful, caring, and welcoming host and an inspiring person: Jen the gem! Her historic inn is beautiful and well maintained. The rate is more than fair. We stayed in the Vye room with a view of Digby harbor. The bathroom is carefully renovated and has an amazing shower. Jen prepared a delicious breakfast. We were lucky to meet her warm-hearted mother, her mother’s husband, and friends. It is Jen‘s wish to offer her guests the hearty breakfast she would enjoy as a guest and to send off her guests feeling happy. We were more than happy regarding our stay and to have met Jen, but sad not to be able to stay longer. Thank you, Jen, and also Elve and Harry for your hospitality. We wish you happiness, fulfillment and all the best!

A true B&B experience, Jennifer is a very gracious hostess. You share breakfast and conversation with fellow travelers. Restaurants within walking distance (once you conquer the hill). Thoroughly modern shower with plenty of hot water. Several porch or outdoor resting spots. We felt right at home. Definitely on the "come back" list.

This place hits the sweet spot between maintaining original Victorian character and providing 21st century comfort and convenience. Our room was spacious and beautifully furnished with a clean, updated bathroom. Jenn was a delightful hostess, and the breakfast provided by Lisa was delicious and served in a lovely setting. This has to be one of the nicest, if not THE nicest B&B we've ever stayed in.
It's also just up the (steep) hill from the center of Digby with its shops, restaurants, and marina.
I'd say it's worth a trip to Digby just to enjoy this spot.

A perfect stay
Amazing hospitality! Every detail of the room was thoughtful and comfortable. Bedding, towels, temperature, every detail was perfect. The breakfasts were delicious and so much variety was provided. Conversations with others staying were a highlight and this was all made possible thanks to a generous and thoughtful host who facilitated such gatherings. Thank you so much for an amazing stay!

Lovely place built in 1910 with a great view overlooking
the harbour. Our host Jen was terrific and breakfast

Wonderful views from the B&B over the harbour. We had the Vye Room and the views from the bed are amazing. The modern shower and comfortable bed were so welcoming after a day touring. Henry and Lynda are very friendly and helpful hosts with a good sense of humour. Breakfasts, set at a certain time, are different each day. It is close to the harbour and next to a friendly pub serving home-made burgers. I’d definitely recommend staying there.

We stayed at this charming B & B on July 16 during a little tour of Nova Scotia. We booked the Rutherford Room which was a generous size and had a view of the harbour. The common area balcony was a good place to relax in the evening with a glass of wine from a local winery we visited, it has a great view of the water. A beverage fridge is available in the dining room for guests to use should you need to chill any bevies you brought along. Henry & Linda were wonderful hosts sharing their knowledge of the area. Henry's breakfast of fruit parfait, waffle with chocolate filling and scallops egg Benedict were fantastic!! Thanks to you both for a great stay in Digby.

Can't recommend Hillside B&B enough. Everything was 10/10. We had the Rutherford room and was a fantastic size and the comfort level superb from bed and linen to the very modern shower faucet! Communal areas were so homely with tea and coffee available all day AND a delicious home cooked oatcake to go with it. Games, jigsaws, binoculars a bonus. The verandah was so relaxing, taking in the vista of Digby. We could of stayed for a week. Now the hosts, Henry and Linda, were the friendliest kindest people and couldn't do enough for you. Breakfast blew us away, not only fresh fruit, yoghurt, granola, but also home made waffles and then the scallops hollandaise with poached egg, bacon and muffin. Delicious. Thank you so much Henry for your hospitality and Linda for your kitchen skills, you made our stay so memorable.
