I highly recommend the Brewster Inn, home of a former Maine Governor. The Brewster Inn became my favorite BnB and is a real gem. Mark and Tina were very attentive to our needs and made us feel right at home. We rented the Honeymoon Suite (46 years married) which was very comfortable! The bed was awesome - we slept great! Awesome breakfasts. Each day we were greeted with a different home cooked breakfast selection. Mark and Tina are very knowledgeable about places to visit and things to do in Maine. The Brewster Inn will be my go to place for future trips. I highly recommend the Brewster Inn as the perfect place to stay in central Maine.

My wife Anne and I came to the Dexter area in November for two reasons. The first was to celebrate Anne's birthday, and the second was to Geocache. Mark and Tina were gracious hosts who helped celebrate the birthday by giving us a bottle of wine. It was very generous of them. The Honeymoon Room was a hit with its air bathtub. Very enjoyable. The location was perfect for geocaching as we found 49 towns in the four days we were there. All in all, we enjoyed our morning chats with Mark and Tina and would highly recommend the Brewster Inn to anyone who loves to get away to the peace and quiet of the Maine countryside.

“My husband and I had an incredible stay at the Brewster Inn while visiting family in the area. The inn is absolutely beautiful, and the location is perfect for a peaceful getaway. Everything was immaculately clean, and the attention to detail made us feel right at home. The beds were so comfortable with the most amazing pillows—we both slept wonderfully! Breakfast each morning was a real treat, delicious and freshly prepared. The hosts were warm, personable, and went out of their way to make sure our stay was even better. We will absolutely be back again and are already looking forward to our next visit!”

Mark was WAY too intense. We had to pay $20 more a night to be on the ground floor because, by the way there are 22 stairs to climb, at the last minute. RULES, RULES, RULES. Breakfast was not much food ( as compared to other B&B’s we had stayed at. Things like you have to pick a time for breakfast for 4 people in the dining room at once. You can’t feed 6 or 8 at the same time? Give me a break. Can’t sit and have a cup of coffee while I wait? I can’t come through the door for breakfast until you say I can? Sorry not a good experience. B&B’s should be a good experience. Will give them, nice room.

This was our 5th visit with Tina and Mark. Great location for us as we visit family in the area. Comfortable, clean, spacious rooms. Very reasonably priced and good value. Quiet spot, nice fellow guests, tasty homemade breakfast. Looking forward to next year!

Mark and Tina are a lovely couple running a quaint and lovely inn! They were very gracious and informative with a beautiful home. Tina found out my 1 year old loves strawberries and made it her mission to have a separate bowl of berries for him every morning. The little touches really stand out! The water pressure was great, the bed was extremely comfortable, and the game room was full of fun things to do! They were very accommodating for dietary requests, are family friendly and wonderful hosts. They were welcoming and always excited to hear about your plans for the day at breakfast. It truly felt like you were visiting friends. Mark also makes a mean iced coffee! Will definitely stay again! Could not ask for a better stay on our Genealogical adventures! Definitely a bright spot in rural Maine!

Historic home of the late Maine Governor & Senator Ralph Owen Brewster. (Played by Alan Alda in the movie The Aviator). Sen. Brewster was not a very nice person, but we certainly did enjoy our stay. Gracious hosts, comfortable accommodations, great breakfast. Highly recommended.

My wife and I visited The Brewster Inn while we were travelling from out of state to attend the Maine International Film Festival in Waterville. We stayed in The Hatherly room, which includes a comfortable sitting area in which we were able to visit with other members of our group who were also staying at the inn in other rooms. Our adult son stayed in The Game Room, which had beautiful paneling and was a great place to socialize and play board games. Mark and Tina were excellent hosts: attentive without being obtrusive, friendly while respecting our space. The breakfasts were outstanding - the best that I've had anywhere. The setting of the inn near the crest of a hill evoked feelings of a slower, more peaceful time. Our only regret is that we didn't extend our stay so that we could have more time to relax and enjoy the inn and the some of the attractions in the area.

Mark and Tina were friendly and helpful with recommendations. I could not hear any other guests while in my room and felt very safe the entire time. Great breakfast and in the middle of all the places we wanted to see in Maine. I would definitely stay here if I'm in the area again. Super great people and good prices.
