Hôtel Restaurant Le Rayon Vert

We felt that we were a nuisance when we arrived at 1.30 on a Sunday. We knew we were early for checking in but we were hungry and wanted some lunch so we’d kept our luggage in our car so that we could eat. Upon arrival we were told in no uncertain terms that check in wasn’t until 2.00 and when we said we wanted to eat first we were told there were no tables. However somebody left so we took their table. There’s no porterage so we had to struggle down a very steep slope with our luggage, I’m 80 and my disabled friend is 73. My friend asked for a small jug of milk to take to our room as we had brought a kettle plus tea and coffee with us, there being nothing in the room and she was charged €1 for it. One morning we had an early start as we were doing some bird watching and being picked up at 6.45 so we asked for a couple of sandwiches to take with us as we left before the breakfast started and got back after it had finished. We were told No but on departure we’d been charged €12 for it even though we didn’t get it and had paid for bed and breakfast anyway. There were no toiletries in the bathroom just some shower gel in the shower room. Would not recommend even though the grounds are beautiful and well maintained and the rooms are clean with a comfortable bed. Food also very mediocre. We definitely felt they did not like the English and apart from one member of staff, a very nice and helpful gentleman who spoke some English, we were not made to feel at all welcome.

Beautiful rooms in bungalows overlooking the sea. Big infinity pool. Onsite bar and restaurant but also close to the waterfront restaurants at Deshaies

Great place to stay! Amazing experience. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Room was nice and spacious. The pool, bar, and restaurant (dinner) was perfect. Highly recommend.

Perfect location with a gorgeous garden and views. Lovely traditional bedrooms and a fantastic breakfast . Everything here is authentic and a perfect hostess. We love it .We arrived by taxi and used the local buses which were better than we expected and very cheap .Eating and drinking in nearby Ferry was very good but we didn’t rate the nearby Hotel Rayon Vert . We stayed for 3 nights at the villa. Isabel is a wonderful host. She is really friendly and helpful and she takes the time to get to know her guests. The rooms are compact but comfortable and the public area has a great section of comfy chairs to lounge in. Every night at 7pm Isabel and the other guests gather here which is a really nice way to meet everyone else. The pool is lovely and the views are amazing. Breakfast is amazing. I loved it. And Isabel had great restaurant recommendations for evening meals. We will definitely stay again next time we are in Guadeloupe

We loved breakfast on the open shaded terrace overlooking the sea. The individual bungalow style rooms were spacious with a very comfortable bed. The individual terrace with a lovely sea view.
