Des Moines: hotel con bar

When we arrived we had sand in our bed, no big deal, could’ve just been from someone setting something on the bed. We told front desk and got new sheets and blankets. We later got walked in on while getting ready in our room by other guests who were given a room that we were already in. Guests were sorry and went down to get a new room, front desk agent apologized and got us new keys and free breakfast. They told us that night when we got new sheets to tell management in the morning about the sand so we could inform them. We did just that and were told no managers were around so they took a note for them and told housekeeping over the radio what happened. When we walked upstairs, housekeeping was now in our room, with our do not disturb sign up looking for the sand. We walked in and they asked us immediately where the sand was, we said we changed out the sheets before bed and the old were on the floor. Head of housekeeping (as confined by front desk) very rudely told us that that wouldn’t have happened and that they change the sheets before housekeeping even cleans the rooms. We told them that we wouldn’t just make that up and she picked up the sheets and left. We talked to the front desk again as her attitude and her telling us that that didn’t happened was the last straw. Incidents happen and none of it was ideal but when someone in a higher role is not even close to as helpful or friendly as all the front desk agents have been our whole stay, that’s where the real problem is. I have never had that kind of a dreadful experience with any other business ever. If it weren’t for her, I really think this would have been a great stay.

Nessun ricevimento ingrandito.L'hotel paga tutto quello che vogliono e non hai idea di cosa. Bar meno attrezzature, nessuno può pagare in qualsiasi camera senza verifica. Se non c'è un costo di 120 dollari per niente, ho pagato per le cose di qualcun altro.

Non potevano accettare la mia carta e chiedevano di prendere 100$ in contanti da loro ATM MEDIANTE 3.5$ prelievo! Ero lì solo per una notte!

Aveva un volo mattinale in partenza da DSM, quindi ho prenotato il loro programma di 8 giorni per il parco Stay Go. Mi è sembrato una buona decisione. Prima di tutto, il check-in all'arrivo era una brisa. Oltre al normale processo, mi è stato chiesto di compilare una carta d'informazione sulla mia auto, che io andrò a lasciare in loro per 5 notti. La stanza era pulita e spaziosa. Le strutture erano moderne. Un fatto molto interessante è che il letto era un letto Murphy! Ho scoperto perché ho notato il design intriguante del letto e ho deciso di esplorare. Ho sempre voluto provare uno, così è stato fantastico! Mi piaceva anche la zona centrale unica sotto il “Holidome”, che ospita una piscina, sedie da soggiorno, ecc. La mattina seguente, l'autobus dell'hotel mi ha portato all'aeroporto, che era a soli cinque minuti di distanza. Quando sono tornato, ho chiamato l'hotel e l'autobus è venuto a prendere me entro 10 minuti e sono stato lasciato proprio accanto alla mia auto.

Inoltre, ci hanno lasciato controllare in anticipo, le mutandine erano carine. Tuttavia, quando ci siamo iscritti non c’erano cookie perché non avevano la cucina che mi ha fatto arrabbiare perché mi amavo i cookie. Dopo che il mio amico ha preso una doccia, il manicomio si è rotto. Ho chiamato il dipartimento di frontiera circa 2:15 e mi è stato detto che la manutenzione sarebbe stata lì tra 25 minuti. ( Ho spiegato che dovevo fare la doccia e essere da qualche parte entro 5. ) Ho chiamato circa 3:15 e mi è stato detto che la manutenzione era lì e era al quarto piano con un problema di costruzione. Ho ribadito che dovevo fare una doccia e il tizio al di fuori del divano andava a prendere l'uomo di manutenzione che immagino avessero e lo portarono a riparare la doccia. L'uomo di manutenzione disse che non c'era motivo di cambiare le stanze e gli ho detto che dovevo fare la doccia per essere in qualche posto entro 5. Mi ha detto che andava fuori dalla stanza se mi spostassi, poteva andare a prendere gli strumenti che aveva bisogno. Ma poi, dopo che era abbastanza bello, finalmente sono andato al divano e gli ho detto che avevo bisogno di una stanza per fare una doccia, e che era abbastanza bello da farmi fare una doccia in un'altra stanza. Ha detto che la ragazza che era in turno prima di lui avrebbe dovuto offrirmi immediatamente una nuova stanza. Beh, non è successo. Non vi dicono nemmeno quando si controlla la piscina è fuori commissione di nuovo a causa della costruzione del quarto piano e mi hanno detto di nuovo alla ragazza di prima rotta che avrebbe dovuto dirci che avevamo accesso alla proprietà adiacente. Non sono neanche sicuro perché non avevo una password per Internet. Sono un membro di Hilton e non consiglierei questo posto. Molto cattiva esperienza.

Okay, where to start? 1. They do not have an airport shuttle after midnight. This is NOT stated on their website claiming to be an ”airport” hotel. 2. It took a bit to get a $27.50 ride that was less than 2 miles to this hotel 3. The ”lady' at the front desk hates her job. 4. When I said these things, she comment was take it up with management. She said they never listen to them etc (she hates her job) I said I would and I will drive the point home at this point, I guess this flipped her lid. She slaps the keys on the counter after several guffaws and such. I picked them up the same way she slapped them down. 5. This really set her off and she got nasty. I told her I picked them up the same darn way she slapped them down. She said f*ck you, I said it back and she kept going and going, at this point I felt the need to keep her going as I walked to the elevator and she did not disappoint. This hotel is clearly poorly run. The employees hate their job and the ”guests” are clearly a nuisance to them. Short of me yelling or getting out of line there is no cause for her mouth, other than she is a miserable human being (at least tonight). I had a second reservation for tomorrow night and I cancelled it and will be staying downtown. I only hope that hotel is not under the same management (stay tuned) When you are traveling, things don't always go well. This was a long day and it was made far worse by Brandy. Brandy is not a happy person and she hates her job. My guess is the shuttle driver does and probably everyone else here does as well. I will make sure this one is on the never again list. That makes 2 or 3 over the last 30 years, quite an accomplishment a few minutes into the stay. If you are flying into Des Moines it is advisable to prearrange transportation as the airport and the surrounding hotels are not up to the simple task of getting you to the hotel. When you call them out, they are not capable of a rational response or anything even remotely professional.

Che buon soggiorno! Mi è stato detto che l'hotel è di cinque anni, ma sembra nuovo. Kudos al personale di manutenzione e pulizia. Kiki al dipartimento frontale ha fatto il mio check-in veloce e semplice e andò sopra e oltre per me quando ho chiamato dalla strada. Ny era anche molto amichevole e utile. Cercheremo di restare qui di nuovo.
