Stayed for two nights in this beautiful country hotel. A very warm welcome on arrival and then shown to a beautiful large room, The Kedleston. It had everything you could wish for and a very comfortable bed. I was staying to visit relatives nearby but it would make an excellent base for exploring the area. Kedleston Hall, National Trust is on the doorstep and a must to visit. Breakfast was freshly cooked and delicious, I didn’t eat in the evenings but the menu looked really good and if breakfast was anything to go on it will be fabulous. I will definitely return to stay and also take my family to the restaurant. Thank you to all your excellent staff for a very enjoyable stay.

Food (evening meal and breakfast) was excellent. Restaurant and bar staff friendly and efficient. Sadly, our stay was ruined by the two evening events which took place on the night of our stay. We were only informed about the events when we checked in. It was impossible to get away from the guests for our pre-dinner drinks: we requested to use the snug but were not allowed to so we were forced to sit by the external door which was in constant use on a cold night. The music was unnecessarily loud and went on after 11pm despite our being assured at check in that it would end on the dot of 11.

Having stayed at the Kedleston Country House many years ago, I didn’t expect there to be too many changes. However, the atmosphere was different, cobwebs in the guest room with a broken blind in the bathroom. Breakfast was very disappointing with the sausage and bacon cooked in the microwave and plain white bread with had no flavour! The assistant was wonderfully friendly and approachable also the fresh cold milk in the guest room fridge was a nice touch.

Went for the champagne breakfast. It was FANTASTIC. The staff are wonderful and Sally served us. She was faultless and perfectly friendly. Nothing was too much effort. The champagne breakfast was excellent.. It is wonderful to feel so happy and well looked after. The room where we ate was idyllic. We couldn’t have wished for anything to be improved. Highly recommend this beautiful location. Thank you to all staff and my wonderful friend who took me for this special meal.

Exceptional country house B&B. Staff are amazing. Breakfast is great and rooms are gorgeous. I was lucky to stay in the Kedleston suite and it's beautiful ; worth booking. There's plenty of rooms to chillax in around the hotel, too. Will definitely be returning.

Cannot rate this beautiful country house hotel highly enough. From its stunning grounds, excellent facilities, high standard restaurants and exceptional cuisine to some of the most delightful, helpful, friendly staff I have ever encountered. Our room was beautifully clean, comfortable, fresh and restful. The room had a small fridge, with chilled water, fresh milk. There was a kettle and coffee machine. The bathroom was large and considerately equipped . We shall definitely look forward to a return visit. Thank you

I was treated to a wonderful Mother’s Day meal by my family. Even though the dining room was very busy, the service was impeccable. Our drinks arrived quickly and the meal that followed was just perfect. I ordered the beef which was cooked to perfection. The vegetables were fresh and not over cooked at all and finally the Yorkshire Pudding was one of the best I’ve had. I would 100% recommend their Sunday Lunch menu, you won’t be disappointed!!!!!! Thank you to everyone, the waitresses, bar staff and of course the chef for a perfect Mother’s Day meal.

Beautiful room, excellent service, friendly atmosphere. We stayed over after a party. Food was awesome, particularly for a busy evening. Hot tasty, beautifully presented. Breakfast was brilliant as well

We had a short stay at the Kedleston Country House on a visit to family in Derbyshire on the 21st / 22nd Nov. We had a wonderful stay here. The rooms were lovely, clean and very comfortable and the breakfast great. A special thanks to Lee and Sally who were very friendly and helpful and made our stay worthwhile. We would definitely recommend the place to all.
