White Rose Inns & Motel

My boyfriend and I stayed in May 2024. We are a middle age couple. It was a nice trip and past reviews are accurate. I tried to call and had no answer / no return call. I'm sure they are busy cleaning. If you look at the map, there are 4 properties any maybe 2 teeny 'houses' with no sitting area - just rooms. The blue house is the main house in photos and looked ok when we toured (tiny sitting room). The motel looked ok - typical motel. We stayed in the Terace Hill house. Our first room was the Rose room. It was clean but needed some updates (such as bubbled wallpaper). We were there for reading and hot tub so we didn't mind. While the ambiance of the room was nice, the hot tub overheated. The staff was able to KINDLY make it right and give us another room. Bonus points for customer service!!!! Keep expectations in check - older homes have creaky stairs and you might hear your neighbors. Bathrooms are often tiny and there isn't central air - it's window AC. That's the charm of B&B's. The Breakfast house was nice with a great view! Serve yourself and nice selection. The Sherman house was the best we toured. The sitting room was large and we read / lounged there. It also has a large porch to sit on and there is a park next to it. We will visit again and know to stay at the Sherman House if we can. This would be rated as a typical 2.5 star hotel property by most standards. I went with 3 stars for the customer service and overall cleanliness for Victorian Homes.

My husband, daughter and I stayed in the Master Suite in the Blue House. We loved it! Absolutely charming place. The staircase upon entering was gorgeous, as well as the decor. Our room was cozy and quiet. My daughter loved having her own little room. Pool was just down the steps and outside. Comfy king sized bed and snuggly pillows and covers. Just a block off the main drag, so lots of places to walk to. We enjoyed swimming in the pool at the end of our busy day. There was even a robe in our room! Breakfast was yummy with a waffle maker ready to use. It was located in a separate building not too far from our stay. Easy to follow signs posted so nobody got lost. To sum it up, our stay in the Blue House was charming, cozy and enjoyable. Would stay again!

We booked the Parlour Room in the Main House for one night. The room had the Victorian feel and furnishings, except the couch and chair were torn in several places and stained. The carpet was stained in several areas. The room seemed clean, just needs new furniture and carpeting. The King bed was comfortable with clean sheets , blanket, although comforter had what looked like an old set in blood stain. The bathroom was clean, but shower is hard to manipulate and get a comfortable temperature. The breakfast was good andhot with lots of choices. This room just needs some TLC. The location is great to walk to shops and restaurants.
