You will certainly find more luxurious places to check into in Delhi, if it's a star-studded hotel experience that you are looking for. However, if you can find a place that is more genuinely and warmly welcoming, I would be very, very surprised. The Estate Villa is the home that you never knew you could find away from home. If I was to use only four adjectives to describe the place, they would be: warm, welcoming, caring, hospitable. The rooms are spotlessly clean, with balconies that open onto a sunlit lawn surrounded by lush foliage on the ground floor. The decor ***ifests taste, understated, and ubiquitous, from the heirloom-resembling mirror and davenport to the wood and woven cane beds in the rooms to the polished tables and snug sofas in the common lounge and dining area, not to mention the bookshelves invitingly tucked away in a corner. If there was anything I would change, that would be the two chairs in the bedrooms, which are a touch out of harmony with the rest of the furniture and decor. But you would have to be nitpicking with a hypercritical eye to find the slightest bit out of place beyond that. All the creaturely comforts are well taken care of: hot water, air-conditioning for both summer and winter months, shower supplies, daily cleaning, and a warm breakfast spread are all a part of the package. The kitchen happily provides delectable home-style lunch and dinner on request, or you can order from the dozens of restaurants in the vicinity. Heck, you wouldn't even miss your pet here, for Sheeba is the burliest bundle of cute fluff you can hope to find. Getting to the Villa can be slightly difficult, because the locality--Sultanpur Estate--is, as Ms. Mamta Sharma, the owner, puts it, "the best kept secret in South Delhi." Ms. Amy, the ***ager, helps where Google Maps fails. Her location pin accompanied with clear directions will get you there without a hitch. The Villa is a tranquil oasis nestled in the heart of South Delhi, close to the Sultanpur metro station, and a short drive from the Delhi airport. Wonderful as the Estate is in its setting as well as decor, the best part of the Villa has to be the people who own and run the place. Genuinely warm hospitality is the nature of the place. Your requests are their pleasure. Ms. Mamta's taste and warmth envelops the Villa. It's never too late for Ms. Amy to offer you a solution to what you thought was an intractable issue. The home-style food is lovingly cooked and served by the chef, Mr. Naresh, and his assistants. All of them are genuinely solicitous about your comfort and well-being. If it wasn't obvious from the preceding account, let me put it across explicitly: I love the place. My partner and I have checked into the Villa thrice over the last two years and we cannot wait to be back yet again. If you are looking for a warm, hospitable bed 'n breakfast, the Estate Villa will provide you that, and a dash of happiness *****side.
