Hotel a 3 stelle a Decatur

Upon arrival there was a young lady at front desk didn't get her name she was beyond friendly n great. I handed her my paper (employee discount paper) she seen that it was two reservations under name which I called reservations to cancel one which I was told it was cancelled but Now NICOLE front desk supervisor came over n instantly begin to be rude not only to me but to the employee. Insinuating my employee discount form was fake .We were give a second floor room . We got to the second floor it smelled like sewage got to the room and there was a bug on the covers I instantly called down to front desk I took a picture because when I called down Nicole was once very rude again but got out room change. Called down the before to see n I can have a late check out Nicole instantly said no. But the when talk to night audit once didn't get his name. He accommodated a check out for 12:00 p.m. which I asked prior. Hotel was great pool was great housekeeping evening shift was awesome most stuff was great n friendly but definitely need to speak to front desk supervisor she is beyond rude to guests and employees.

Six cars broken into (one stolen) in the hotel's unsecured garage- but no apology and a terrible example of how to handle customers who have incurred thousands in damage, missed flights etc... I paid $1,530 for six nights at the property. But, when I asked for some type of compensation for our cars being broken into (incurring more than $1,000 in damage and a missed flight) after already having paid $1,530 for our stay at the property, the verbatim response was, ”We don't owe you anything. You park in our garage at your own risk. We are doing you a favor by even offering to give you points for one free night.” Wow- so I should be grateful for one free night after I paid for six nights and had my car broken into and damaged in your unsecured parking garage. Thank you so much for your overwhelming generosity, caring, and understanding in a very stressful situation... Summary: 1) We pre-booked two stays in a row- two nights (non-refundable) at the hotel May 14-16 and 4 nights (non-refundable) at the hotel May 20-24. Total cost to us $1,530 for 6 nights. 2) Multiple cars (including mine) were broken into in the hotel parking garage early on the morning of May 16. The broken car window and interior damage to my car cost me over $1,000. It also caused me to miss my flight that morning because of having to file police reports, insurance claims, and securing the car itself which had no side window left. 3) No one from the hotel staff ever actually apologized about it. 4) I told the front desk manager (Jordan) to please have the corporate office for the hotel call me to discuss the situation in more detail. 5) Jordan (front desk manager) offered me points for a one night stay at the property. Frankly, given the circumstances, I think both of my first two nights (May 14-16) should have been comped which is why I wanted to discuss this more with the corporate office and not while I was rushing to get a police report filed, insurance filed, and trying to catch a flight. 6) I arrived back at the hotel on May 20th for the second part of my stay. Still, no one from the corporate office had called me, and the points for a one night stay were still not credited to my account. 7) Wednesday, May 22 at noon, I went to the front desk to speak to the manager (Chase) about why no one from the corporate office had called me and why the points had not been credited for a one night stay. Chase was unaware of my request for the corporate office to call me, nor of the points for a one night stay being offered to me. Chase said he would look into it. 8) Wednesday night 10pm, still no one has called me and still no points. So, I left a note at the front desk asking for Chase/Jordan to call me to discuss the situation before I checked out in the morning. 9) Thursday morning comes- still no one called me and still no points for the promised one night stay as compensation for my car being broken into. The cleanliness was subpar. It looked as if it was going to be a nice hotel but it was dirt build up and all the corners. I would say they would benefit more by making sure that they take the time the thorough clean the corners and the surfaces it just felt really grimy but when we checked in it was late at night and I didn't feel up to just go to another hotel. I would say that based on the uncleanliness the hotel definitely wasn't worth $100 a night they never take a look at that reevaluate how they clean. Especially when you were doing a vacation away from home you prefer to living sleeping something that is decent. It has potential I like the pictures and the bedding appear to be clean but it's suspect for sure.

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE PROVIDED OVER THE PHONE BEFORE I EVEN MADE IT ON THE TRIP!! All I did was call to ask a question about my reservation and for one the guy did not properly put me on hold I heard all conversations that was had with the guest including room numbers. Secondly I asked the guy is this location near Pullman yards so that I could ensure that I’m close to the location and he said idk you can use Google and I told him I used Google but I was unable to tell if the location I need was near by and he said he doesn’t know he’s not familiar with the area and I can call back all I want and he still won’t know! HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE how do you work at a hotel and don’t know your surroundings. I work to hard for my money to stay at a place where I can’t get a question answered. I canceled my booking immediately!

This hotel was great! It was located in a good,safe part of town with lots nearby. We ate at Wheelhouse Craft Pub & Kitchen, which was great. Ron at the front desk was awesome! When we walked in he greeted us and asked for the last name. He remembered my first name just from seeing the reservation come through. He was so friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The free breakfast was really, really good! I have paid for breakfast not as good as theirs. Recommended for sure! We usually stay with Hilton hotels but we might be switching brands after this stay!

Superior king type room required bathtub, smooth geyser, heavy flow of wall shower, Handwash liquid required at wash room, Mobile charging dedicated port. Buffet Breakfast should be made of variety, good combinations.
