Mingshi Nali Hotel

A great location ! Closed to ten bike ride … very beautiful room ! Excellent breakfast (both continental and Chinese ) …. Lovely swimming pool …. Very friendly place for kids and family !

Located in a small village like Mingshi but provided excellent facilities. It has swimming pool, gym, the rooms were clean and spacious and with a beautiful view. Breakfast spread is very good. Even though, they don’t speak English, their attempt to understand and help us is good. Service is also very good.

Lovely boutique hotel immersed in the spectacular landscape of Mingshi. Modern, new and well looked after. Free bike rental on site is very convenient, breakfast offers very good variety. Price is high and hotel staff doesn’t speak any English, which made it difficult for us to understand what was on offer. They were very responsive on wechat though. We recommend this hotel if you’re staying in Mingshi.

Super serene setting in the rice fields of Mingshi. Beautiful hotel. We communicated via WeChat, translating everything. Good service. Good Western and Chinese breakfast. Free bikes to use around town and on paved paths. No hiking in area.

The hotel was clean and modern, and every single room has a view of the surrounding karst mountains. The view from the pool is to die for. The food in the restaurant was pretty good, if a bit overpriced. It would be lovely if they also had an English menu, but that's rare in this corner of China, and we managed with rudimentary Chinese and pointing. Be aware that the hotel is in the middle of nowhere. Other than a small convenience store, there's nothing around. You need a car, scooter or bike to get around. If I had any complaints, it would be that the rooms aren't very well insulated for sound. We could hear everyone who walked up or down the staircase.

With the current travel restrictions we were nervous we’d not be allowed into the province and the hotel staff were helpful getting us the information we needed to enter the county and final arrive at their hotel. We felt taken care of and they arranged a driver to pick us up at the airport. They greeted us with smiles, the housekeeper left fruits and a nice hand written note, and the front desk did their best to make our stay a comfortable one. We were traveling with our toddler and the food options were delicious and affordable. We want to say thank you to Chen Kai for going out of his way to make us feel special and welcomed. He speaks English and made many great suggestions regarding travel, activities, and calling the hospitals to see where we could get our nucleic test. The space is surrounded my mountains and it’s green everywhere you look. You can take a boat ride along the river located just in front of the property. Currently there is construction on one side, they are expanding the facilities. The whole space is nice as worth a visit. We didn’t give a 5 for amenities because we felt it could have catered more to families.

Amazing family stay. Travel with two young children and stayed in the suite room. Great size for a family and they provided extra bedding for the sofa. Very clean and modern. The setting is just beautiful, with amazing views from the room and room balcony. The pool is lovely, again amazing view. There is a Chinese restaurant onsite, and the buffet breakfast is simple but plenty of choice. No English ( but wechat butler), they are very helpful with anything you need. About a 40mins drive from detain falls.

Lovely stay with my family. Beautiful room with large balcony and fantastic views. The staff here are super helpful! They helped us organise e-bikes and drivers to explore the local area. I’d also like to mention Poppy for going above and beyond her duty. Poppy met us at the hospital on her day off to help us get our PCR tests, she translated and lined up with us and also went back the next day to collect our results! Thank you Poppy for your kindness and hospitality! See you again in the future!
