Summit Bougainvillea Tea Resort

We stayed here on 23rd march. Our premium room was very well decorated / done as per our taste and there was a personalised note as well to welcome us. Although our room was on the fourth floor , the staff helped in carrying our heavy luggage and also provided dinner for the night in our room. Overall a pleasant stay with magnificent views around the hotel. The best part was that they also packed us breakfast for our journey to the airport

This hotel was booked my my tour agent Falaxy Tours and Treks in Gangtok. We reached the hotel around 6 pm and it was bathed in soft light and looked so peaceful. Hotel staff was quick to come out and help with luggage. The gate was closed when we came which was reassuring in terms of safety and security. Our room is an average size with four poster bed. It was clean and well organised . Things like tissue box shows it’s not just a petty hotel. Karam Cheetrui checked us in promptly and showies us the place giving a personal touch to our memorable experience. He personally spoke to our travel agent when pur flight got cancelled and helped us navigate through our distress . Food is immbecable. There is five course dinner plan one can choose from which is the first I have seen in this India tour. Food was delicious and delivered freshly to our room with foil covers. All ammenities are in the room including tea making services, heater, and hot water. Linen we used was clean and the bed was well made. For our 4 am departure Karam organised a packed breakfast made of fresh fruits, sandwiches , hard boiled eggs and fruit juice.This was the kindest thing one has done for us in India. Beautiful place on route to Siliguri. I really wished I stayed here longer so I. Old enjoy the mountains village experience and the services of a brilliant host. Summit Bougeanville Tea resort and spa is a wonderful resort to comfortable your stay while enjoying beautiful picturesque scenery and dedicated and amicable and sweet service from Manager and representative Mr. Tshogel Lama who is a wonderful , friendly and caring guy.

The food was the best part for me and the service of the workers were also fabulous, I'm really impressed by the service that was provided specially by Mr Tshogel lama. Really nice quality with everything intact. Everything was perfect, cannot find a simple fact that needs to be improved.

We had booked our stay for 4 nights at Summit Bougainville ( their Premium rooms), hoping for a nice comfortable quiet stay. Instead, the hotel, from the first glance itself, put us right Off. Definitely not 3 star BY ANY MEANS WHATSOEVER, I would not rate it beyond 1 star. Dingy drab rooms and even dingier dark tiny bathrooms ( with no proper lighting even!) There was nothing remotely 'Premium' about the rooms! The Suite was marginally better because it had a small terrace attached. The food was also just about passable....their chefs always seem to undercook the chicken, which is actually a health hazard! We had to send back the very first dish we ordered for lunch ( Chicken Lucknowi) because it was undercooked and raw! The towels and linen at Summit Bougainville are another DISASTER!! Thank God, we had carried our own towel, because their linen was DIRTY AND OLD AND DEFINITELY NOT USABLE!! Summit Hotels, either you must re- evaluate and change your hotels maintenance or please shut down! I'd like my readers to also know this.... because I wrote a negative review for their West Gate Pousada Hotel, Darjeeling, the mgmt requested me to pull down the review and write better! But sorry',I cannot do that. I cannot write wrong reviews , because I owe it to my readers and other travellers, to write an honest review, so they can make calculated decisions whilst booking their hotels. Instead of asking me to write a dishonest review, Summit needs to URGENTLY pull up their socks and better their hotels, rooms, facilities and food!! I am done with this hotel chain and will never again choose them. If you do....be prepared for disappointment.

Good place to unwind. Nice view around. Good food with choices. Beautiful rooftop dining experience. Only problem is no car parking space available & geyser doesn’t heat the water much. A good place to take some rest. Not recommended for summer
